Abstract
Description
本発明の第1実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置11及び車両用シート12について、図1~図9に基づいて説明する。なお、各図に適宜記す矢印FR、矢印UP、矢印OUTは、車両の前方向(進行方向)、上方向、幅方向の外側をそれぞれ示している。以下、単に前後、上下、左右の方向を用いて説明する場合は、特に断りのない限り、車両前後方向の前後、車両上下方向の上下、進行方向を向いた場合の左右を示すものとする。
図1に示される車両用シート12は、例えば自動車のフロントシートである。この車両用シート12のシート本体13は、乗員Pが着座するシートクッション14と、乗員Pの背部を支持するシートバック16と、乗員Pの頭部を支持するヘッドレスト18とを備えている。なお、本実施形態では、車両用シート12の前後方向、左右方向(幅方向)及び上下方向は、車両の前後方向、左右方向(幅方向)及び上下方向と一致している。また、図1に示される乗員Pは、衝突試験用のダミーである。このダミーは、例えばWorldSID(国際統一側面衝突ダミー:World Side Impact Dummy)のAM50(米国人成人男性の50パーセンタイル)である。
次に、本第1実施形態の作用及び効果について説明する。
図10には、本発明の第2実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置161が備えるサイドエアバッグ160の膨張展開完了状態が図1に対応した側面図にて示されている。この実施形態では、前後仕切布32の前方延出部32B1及び前方延出部32C1(図10では図示省略)に形成された追加連通口162(インナーベントホール)を介して、前バッグ部40内と後バッグ部42内とが連通されている。上記以外の構成は、前記第1実施形態と同様とされている。
図11には、本発明の第3実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置170が備えるサイドエアバッグ172の膨張展開完了状態が図1に対応した側面図にて示されている。このサイドエアバッグ172では、前記第1実施形態における上下仕切布150及び下バッグ部110が省略されており、前バッグ部40及び後バッグ部42が袋体30の下端まで延長されている。
図12には、本発明の第4実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置180が備えるサイドエアバッグ182の膨張展開完了状態が図1に対応した側面図にて示されている。このサイドエアバッグ182では、左側仕切部32B、右側仕切部32C及び整流部32Aの下端縁、すなわち前後仕切布32の下端縁の全体が、整流部32Aの下端部の後端部から袋体30の下端部における前後方向中間部へ向けて前方斜め下方へ延びている。それ以外の構成は、前記第3実施形態に係るサイドエアバッグ172と同様とされている。この実施形態においても前記第3実施形態と同様の作用効果を得ることができる。
図13には、本発明の第5実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置190が備えるサイドエアバッグ192の膨張展開完了状態が図1に対応した側面図にて示されている。このサイドエアバッグ192では、前記第1~第4実施形態に係る前延部42Bが省略されているが、それ以外の構成は、前記第3実施形態に係るサイドエアバッグ172と同様とされている。
図14には、本発明の第6実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置のサイドエアバッグが備える前後仕切布32及び上下仕切布150が斜視図にて示されている。この実施形態では、前後仕切布32の整流部32Aの下端部が下方側へ延長されている。これにより、整流部32Aの下端部には、下バッグ部110内から後バッグ部42内へのガスの流れを制限する逆止弁194が形成されている。それ以外の構成は、前記第1実施形態と同様とされている。
図15には、本発明の第7実施形態に係る車両用サイドエアバッグ装置のサイドエアバッグが備える前後仕切布32及び上下仕切布150が斜視図にて示されている。この実施形態では、縫製部T21の下端部及び縫製部T22の上端部には、それぞれ縫製端末処理が施されることにより縫製端末処理部E1、E2が設けられている。縫製端末処理部E1は、縫製部T21の下端部が袋体30(図16では図示省略)の上方側へU字状に縫い返されたものであり、縫製端末処理部E2は、縫製部T22の上端部が袋体30の下方側へU字状に縫い返されたものである。上記以外の構成は、前記第1実施形態と同様とされている。
前記各実施形態では、袋体30、前後仕切部としての前後仕切布32、及び上下仕切部としての上下仕切布150が布製とされた構成にしたが、本発明はこれに限るものではない。例えば、可撓性を有するシート状の材料によって袋体、前後仕切部及び上下仕切部を製造する構成にしてもよい。

Claims (12)
- 袋状に形成され、折り畳まれた状態で車両用シートのシートバックのサイドサポート部内に収容されると共に、内部にガスが供給されることにより前記サイドサポート部の車両前方側へ膨張展開する袋体と、
前記袋体内の後端部に設けられた筒状の整流部から延びる左側仕切部及び右側仕切部によって前記袋体を前バッグ部と後バッグ部とに仕切ると共に前記後バッグ部を左右のチャンバに仕切っており、当該左右のチャンバと前記整流部内とが連通された前後仕切部と、
前記整流部内に設けられ、作動することによりガスを発生させるインフレータと、
前記整流部の上下方向中間部に設けられ、前記左側仕切部と前記右側仕切部との間を通じて前記整流部内と前記前バッグ部内とを連通させた連通口と、
を備えた車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。 - 前記前後仕切部は、前記整流部における前記左側仕切部及び前記右側仕切部との境界部が縫製されており、当該境界部の一部が非縫製とされることにより前記連通口が形成されている請求項1に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 作動した前記インフレータがガスを発生し終える以前に、前記前バッグ部及び前記後バッグ部の膨張展開が完了するように構成された請求項1又は請求項2に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記袋体を前記前バッグ部及び前記後バッグ部と下バッグ部とに仕切る上下仕切部を備え、前記整流部の下端開口を介して前記整流部内と前記下バッグ部内とが連通されている請求項1~請求項3の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記整流部の下端部には、前記下バッグ部から前記後バッグ部へのガスの流れを制限する逆止弁が設けられている請求項4に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記後バッグ部の上部は、前記左右のチャンバに仕切られておらず、当該仕切られていない領域に前記整流部の上端開口が開口しており、当該上端開口を介して前記左右のチャンバと前記整流部内とが連通されている請求項1~請求項5の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記前バッグ部、前記後バッグ部及び前記下バッグ部のそれぞれ又は一部には、ベントホールが形成されている請求項4又は請求項5に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記左右のチャンバは、左右非対称に形成されている請求項1~請求項7の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記前後仕切部には、前記前バッグ部内と前記後バッグ部内とを連通させた追加連通口が形成されている請求項1~請求項8の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。
- 前記整流部は、前記袋体内の後端部の上下方向中間部に配設されており、
前記左側仕切部及び前記右側仕切部は、前記袋体と縫製された前端縁部側へ向かうほど上下方向の寸法が拡大されており、
前記後バッグ部の上部及び下部には、前記左右のチャンバに仕切られていない領域がそれぞれ設けられ、これらの領域に前記整流部の上端開口及び下端開口が開口しており、
前記上端開口及び下端開口を介して前記左右のチャンバと前記整流部内とが連通されている請求項1~請求項3の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。 - 前記左側仕切部及び前記右側仕切部は、前記整流部よりも上端側の部分が、前記整流部とは反対側へ向けて斜めに傾斜した前方延出部とされており、
前記後バッグ部の上部には、前記膨張展開状態で前記前バッグ部の上方に配置される前延部が設けられている請求項1~請求項10の何れか1項に記載の車両用サイドエアバッグ装置。 - シートクッション及びシートバックを有するシート本体と、
