Definitions
- the present invention relates to a weather strip that is provided at an edge of a door opening of a vehicle body and abuts against a closed door.
- the weather strip as shown in Patent Document 1 has an attachment base attached to the vehicle body, and a seal portion extends from the attachment base toward the door.
- a drip lip capable of recovering water that travels on the vehicle exterior side of the seal portion is formed below the seal portion. The water that travels outside the seal portion is collected by the drip lip. For this reason, when an occupant gets on and off the vehicle, it is possible to prevent water droplets from falling on the head.
- the drip lip In order to suppress the drop of water droplets on the head, it is considered that the drip lip only needs to be formed at a portion corresponding to the upper edge of the door. However, if the drip lip is missing at the end of the upper edge of the door, the water that has flowed through the drip lip falls from the missing part. There is a risk that such water droplets may enter the passenger compartment through the door and the vehicle body.
