- FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a drive system for a hybrid vehicle to which the present invention is applied. It is a figure for demonstrating the system configuration
- FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a drive system 10 for a hybrid vehicle to which the present invention is applied.
- the drive system 10 includes a vehicle drive motor (hereinafter simply referred to as “motor”) 14 as a second power source of the vehicle together with the internal combustion engine 12.
- the drive system 10 also includes a generator 16 that receives power and generates electric power.
- the internal combustion engine 12, the motor 14, and the generator 16 are connected to each other via a planetary gear type power split mechanism 18.
- a reduction gear 20 is connected to the rotating shaft of the motor 14 connected to the power split mechanism 18.
- the speed reducer 20 connects the rotation shaft of the motor 14 and the drive shaft 24 connected to the drive wheels 22.
- the power split mechanism 18 is a device that splits the driving force of the internal combustion engine 12 into the generator 16 side and the speed reducer 20 side. The distribution of the driving force by the power split mechanism 18 can be arbitrarily changed.
- the drive system 10 of the present embodiment is controlled by an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 40.
- the ECU 40 comprehensively controls the entire drive system 10 including the internal combustion engine 12, the motor 14, the generator 16, the power split mechanism 18, the inverter 26, the converter 28, and the like.
- the catalyst 70 arranged in the exhaust passage 48 When the catalyst 70 arranged in the exhaust passage 48 is in a high temperature state, there is a concern that the catalyst 70 may be deteriorated when fresh air having a high oxygen concentration is supplied to the catalyst 70. In order to suppress the deterioration of the catalyst 70, it is effective to prevent oxygen from flowing into the catalyst 70. According to the system of the present embodiment including the variable valve devices 66 and 68 described above, when a fuel cut (F / C) execution request is issued at the time of deceleration or at the time of high engine rotation, the fuel cut is synchronized.
- FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining a method for determining a stop failure of the intake valve 62 using a case where the delay of the stop operation of the intake valve 62 for one cycle occurs in the # 1 and # 4 cylinders. These are the figures for demonstrating the stop failure determination method of the intake valve 62 using the case where the delay of the stop operation of the intake valve 62 for two cycles occurred in all the cylinders. More specifically, FIGS. 3 and 4 are views showing the operation of the internal combustion engine 12 before and after the fuel cut is performed with the stop operation of the intake valves 62 of all the cylinders during deceleration. 3 (C) and FIG. 4 (C) (the same applies to FIG.
- dlpmcrt (pmcrt-pmcrt (i-1)) of the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt during the stop operation of the intake valve 62 becomes a positive value during the period in which the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt rises toward the atmospheric pressure pa. . Therefore, ddlpm (dlpmcrt ⁇ dlpim), which is a deviation between these two variations, is the difference between the positive value dlpmcrt and the negative value dlpim if the intake stroke shifts from the normal cylinder to the failed cylinder.
- FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining a method for determining a return failure of the intake valve 62 using a case where a delay in the return operation of the intake valve 62 for one cycle occurs in the # 1 and # 4 cylinders. If the stop time tstp of the intake valve 62 is equal to or longer than the predetermined time, the actual intake pressure pim reaches the atmospheric pressure pa during the period in which the stop operation of the intake valve 62 continues. In such a situation, if the return operation of the intake valve 62 of each cylinder is normally performed, the intake air starts to flow, so that the actual intake pressure pim decreases like the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt in FIG. To go. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 5, if the return failure of the intake valve 62 occurs, the intake is stopped, so the actual intake pressure pim maintains a value near the atmospheric pressure pa or rises again.
- FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing a calculation processing routine for the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt.
- the routine shown in FIG. 7 first, the current throttle opening degree ta detected using the throttle position sensor 54 is read (step 200), and the current engine speed ne detected using the crank angle sensor 72 is obtained. It is read (step 202), and the atmospheric pressure pa is read by the same processing as step 100 (step 204).
- step 210 it is determined whether or not the pseudo intake pressure pmcrtb at the normal time is higher than the atmospheric pressure pa (step 210). As a result, if it is determined that the steady-state pseudo intake pressure pmcrtb is higher than the atmospheric pressure pa, the atmospheric pressure pa is substituted as the current steady-state pseudo intake pressure pmcrtb (step 212).
- step 406 it is determined whether or not the crank angle ccrnkl read in step 400 is 360 ° CA or more (step 408). As a result, when this determination is not established, that is, when the crank angle ccrnkl is 180 to 359 ° CA, the current processing cycle is terminated. As a result, in this case, the # 4 cylinder written in step 406 is determined as the current determination target cylinder.
- step 412 If the determination in step 412 is satisfied, the # 1 cylinder is written (step 414), and the current processing cycle is terminated. As a result, in this case, the # 1 cylinder written in step 414 is determined as the current determination target cylinder.
- a stop request for the intake valve 62 is being issued.
- a determination is made (step 304).
- the stop request for the intake valve 62 is issued when, for example, a predetermined condition for stopping the intake valve 62 such that the temperature of the catalyst 70 is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature and a fuel cut execution request is issued is satisfied. Is done.
- step 304 If it is determined in step 304 that a request for stopping the intake valve 62 is being issued, the intake pressure increase time tstp_pa calculated by the routine processing shown in FIG. 11 is then read (step 306).
- step 500 If it is determined in step 500 that the stop request for the intake valve 62 is being issued, the pressure deviation dlpa (calculated value in the process of step 118) between the atmospheric pressure pa and the actual intake pressure pim is read ( Step 502). Next, it is determined whether or not the pressure deviation dlpa is larger than a predetermined determination value KDPA1 (step 504).
- step 504 when the determination in step 504 is not established, the actual intake pressure pim is close to the atmospheric pressure pa. Therefore, the intake pressure increase time tstp_pa is not counted, and the stop time tstp is Counts up (step 508). According to such processing, when the intake pressure increase time tstp_pa is counted up until the determination in step 504 switches from the established state to the unestablished state, the stop request is calculated by calculating the intake pressure increase time tstp_pa. It is possible to calculate the time required for the actual intake pressure pim to reach a value near the atmospheric pressure pa after issuing. Also in this case, the current stop time tstp is latched (recorded) as the stop time tstp1 (step 510).
- step 500 If it is determined in step 500 that the stop request for the intake valve 62 is not issued, that is, if it can be determined that the return request for the intake valve 62 is issued or after it is issued, the intake pressure rise time is increased.
- the tstp_pa is cleared to zero (step 512), and the stop time tstp is cleared to zero (step 514).
- step 304 if it is determined in step 304 that the request for stopping the intake valve 62 is not being issued, that is, if it can be determined that the return request for the intake valve 62 is issued or after it is issued, then the above step is performed.
- step 310 After the stop time tstpl recorded in 510 is read (step 310), it is determined whether or not there is a return failure of the intake valve 62 (step 312).
- the determination request is set to OFF (step 314).
- FIG. 12 is a flowchart showing a routine for determining whether or not the intake valve 62 has failed in step 308 in FIG.
- the intake pressure change deviation ddlpm calculated in step 114 is read (step 600).
- the intake pressure deviation dlpm calculated in step 116 is read (step 602).
- step 604 determines whether or not the intake pressure change amount deviation ddlpm is larger than a predetermined determination value KDDPM1 and whether the intake pressure deviation dlpm is larger than a predetermined determination value KDPM or not. Determination is made (step 606).
- These determination values KDDPM1 and KDDPM are values set in advance as threshold values for determining a stop failure of the intake valve 62. As a result, when the determination in step 606 is established, it is determined that an abnormality has occurred in the stop operation of the intake valve 62 in the current determination target cylinder, and the stop abnormality counter cfailstp1 is counted up (step 608). ).
- step 610 it is determined whether or not the stop abnormality counter cfailstp1 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value CFAIL1 (step 610).
- a deterministic determination is made that a stop failure of the intake valve 62 in the current determination target cylinder has occurred.
- the stop failure determination result is stored (the stop failure determination flag xfail1 is set to ON) (step 612).
- step 604 if it is determined in step 604 that the intake pressure increase time tstp_pa is equal to or longer than the predetermined arrival time determination value ⁇ , it is determined that a stop failure of the intake valve 62 has occurred in any cylinder.
- the current stop failure determination result is stored (step 612).
- FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing a routine for determining a return failure of the intake valve 62 in step 312 in FIG.
- the intake pressure change amount deviation ddlpm calculated in step 114 is read (step 700).
- the pressure deviation dlpa calculated in step 118 is read (step 702).
- step 704 it is determined whether or not the stop time tstpl immediately before issuing the return request for the intake valve 62 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value ⁇ (step 704). More specifically, as a premise for performing a failure determination using the atmospheric pressure pa in the next step 706, the actual intake pressure pim at the time of issuing the return request is determined to be close to the atmospheric pressure pa by the processing of this step 704. It is determined whether the value has been reached.
- the intake pressure change amount deviation ddlpm is smaller than a predetermined determination value KDDPM2, and the pressure deviation dlpa between the atmospheric pressure pa and the actual intake pressure pim is a predetermined determination value. It is determined whether it is smaller than KDPA2 (step 706).
- KDDPM2 and KDPA2 are values set in advance as threshold values for determining a return failure of the intake valve 62. As a result, when the determination in step 706 is established, it is determined that an abnormality has occurred in the return operation of the intake valve 62 in the current determination target cylinder, and the return abnormality counter cfailstp2 is counted up (step 608). ).
- step 710 it is determined whether or not the return abnormality counter cfailstp2 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value CFAIL2 (step 710).
- CFAIL2 a predetermined value
- a deterministic determination is made that a return failure of the intake valve 62 in the current determination target cylinder has occurred.
- the return failure determination result is stored (the return failure determination flag xfail2 is set to ON) (step 712).
- the intake routine 62 determines whether or not the stop request for the intake valve 62 is being issued. The presence or absence of a stop failure or a return failure of the valve 62 is determined.
- the intake stroke changes from the normal cylinder to the abnormal cylinder or the intake stroke from the abnormal cylinder to the normal cylinder uses the intake pressure change deviation ddlpm including the actual intake pressure change dlpim. It can be determined by looking at the slope of the change in the actual intake pressure pim when. Therefore, in the case where the actual intake pressure pim changes as shown in FIG. 3, it is possible to identify the cylinder in which the stop failure has occurred. Then, by using the intake pressure change amount deviation dlpmm including the actual intake pressure change amount dlpim, the determination using a large (about twice) deviation as compared with the case where the actual intake pressure change amount dlpim is used alone. Is possible. For this reason, the detection accuracy of a stop fault can be improved.
- the actual intake pressure pim shows a change in tendency similar to the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt. Therefore, in addition to the intake pressure deviation dlpm, the actual intake pressure change amount dlpim or the intake pressure change amount deviation ddlpm including the actual intake pressure change amount dlpm can be used to grasp that the stop delay of the intake valve 62 has been eliminated. It is possible to determine a stop failure with high accuracy. Further, in the routine shown in FIG.
- the intake pressure change amount deviation ddlpm is smaller than the determination value KDDPM2, and the pressure deviation dlpa between the atmospheric pressure pa and the actual intake pressure pim. Is smaller than the determination value KDPA2, it is determined that a return failure of the intake valve 62 has occurred in the current determination target cylinder. In this way, by using the pressure deviation dlpa, the change in the actual intake pressure pim with respect to the atmospheric pressure pa after the return request is detected, so that the return failure of the intake valve 62 can be detected. Further, in the routine shown in FIG.
- the failure determination based on the intake pressure deviation dlpm and the failure determination based on the intake pressure change amount deviation dllpm are used in combination.
- the present invention is not limited to such a method, and may be as follows, for example. That is, the failure determination based on the intake pressure deviation dlpm may be performed independently. As described above, when a stop failure occurs, a difference between the actual intake pressure pim and the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt occurs. For this reason, even when the failure determination based on the intake pressure deviation dlpm is performed independently, it is possible to determine that a stop failure has occurred in any of the cylinders.
- the present invention is not limited to such a method, and may be as follows, for example. That is, the failure determination based on the intake pressure deviation dlpm may be performed independently as in the case of the determination of the stop failure. As described above, even when a return failure occurs, a difference between the actual intake pressure pim and the pseudo intake pressure pmcrt occurs.
