金属張り積層板には、金属層、ポリイミド層、エポキシ樹脂等の接着層から構成される3層フレキシブル金属積層板と、金属箔を含む金属層とポリイミド層から構成される2層フレキシブル金属積層板が知られている。
最近では、電子・光学機器に使用されることが多くなり、それに伴ってフレキシブル金属積層板に対する遮光性が求められるようになってきている。例えば、携帯ディスプレイを明るくする方法には、面光源のタイプと、端部に光源を設け導光板などによりディスプレイ全面を明るくするタイプがある。両者はディスプレイを効率的に明るくするために綿密に計算され、設計されている。しかしながら、面光源、端部光源の両タイプにおいて、ディスプレイ周辺に組み込まれているフレキシブルプリント配線板から光が漏れ、結果的に筐体接合部から外部に光が漏れてしまうという問題がある。この問題を解決する技術としては、全波長の光を吸収する顔料を配合することにより、ポリイミド層を黒色化することが知られている。
例えば、特許文献1には、電気絶縁性フィルム、熱硬化性接着剤のいずれかもしくは両方に特定の平均粒径を有する黒色顔料を含有する遮光性カバーレイフィルムが開示されている。
また、特許文献2には、絶縁基板及びカバーレイの一方又は両方が、染料又は顔料を1重量%以上含有するパラ配向型芳香族ポリアミドフィルムであるフレキシブルプリント配線基板が開示されている。
また、特許文献2に記載されたような有機染料或いは有機顔料を用いた場合、電子材料分野における高温高圧条件下における材料加工工程やポリイミドフィルム製造時の高温加工工程において、染料や顔料が分解又は昇華してしまい、安定した黒色を得ることができないという問題がある。
即ち、本発明は以下のとおりである。

ポリアミック酸と、イソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料と、を含み、

本実施形態におけるポリアミック酸としては、特に限定されず、テトラカルボン酸二無水物とジアミン化合物を公知の(溶液重合)方法により縮重合することにより得ることができる。
なお、上記テトラカルボン酸二無水物及びジアミン化合物は、単独で用いても2種以上を併用してもよい。
本実施形態のイソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料(以下、単に「ペリレンブラック顔料」とも言う。)としては、特に限定されないが、下記一般式(1)で表される構造を有することが透明性及び電気特性のバランスの観点から好ましい。
本実施形態の金属張り積層板は、上記ポリイミド樹脂用組成物を硬化させて得られるポリイミド樹脂が、金属箔上に積層されたものである。
まず、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)フィルム、PP(ポリプロピレン)フィルム、PE(ポリエチレン)フィルムなどの離型フィルム上に、ポリイミド樹脂用組成物を塗布して塗布層を形成した後、一定の硬化・乾燥条件(温度は80~160℃、時間は1~30分)で半硬化状態(以下、Bステージともいう)になるまで硬化・乾燥させてポリイミド樹脂層を得る。なお、離型フィルムの表面に離型処理を施すことにより、ポリイミド樹脂層との剥離性を向上させることができる。
さらには、ポリイミド樹脂層が耐熱性を有するため、加工温度が高温であっても対応可能であり、温度を下げずに加工が可能となる。これにより、加工時間の短縮が可能となる。さらに、配線形成、半導体素子実装等の加工性・歩留りが向上した金属張り積層板とすることができる。
ここで、a*値、b*値とは色相と彩度を表す「クロマティクス指数」であり、L*値とは「明度指数」である。
ここで、上記CTE、光透過率、色相、Tg、破壊耐電圧、誘電率及び誘電正接は、以下の実施例に記載の方法により測定することができる。
本実施形態のカバーレイは、上記ポリイミド樹脂から形成されるポリイミドフィルムを含むものである。
また、カバーレイが接着剤層を更に含む場合には、上記セパレート形成方法により作製したポリイミド樹脂層を一定の硬化・乾燥条件(温度は300~400℃、時間は1~30分)によりほぼ完全に硬化させる。次に接着層を形成するために前記ポリイミド樹脂層上に接着剤層を一定の硬化・乾燥条件(温度は80~160℃、時間は1~30分)により半硬化状態(Bステージ)になるまで硬化・乾燥させて接着剤層を得る。なお、硬化条件は、主剤の樹脂、硬化剤の量等により適宜調整することができる。また、離型フィルムは両面に設けられていてもよく、使用時に適宜剥がして使用される。
本実施形態のフレキシブルプリント配線板は、上記カバーレイが、回路形成された金属箔上に設けられてなるものである。本実施形態のフレキシブルプリント配線板は、その厚さを用途に応じて任意に設定することが可能である。

FK4280は下記一般式(3)及び(4)で表される異性体の混合物である。
L-0086:Paliogen Black L-0086(BASF製)
S-0084:Paliogen Black S-0084(BASF製)
ここで、L-0086は下記一般式(5)の分子末端Yにメトキシベンジル基を有するペリレンブラック顔料、S-0084は下記一般式(5)の分子末端Yにフェニルエチル基を有するペリレンブラック顔料である。
(1)CTE測定
CTEは、島津製作所製の熱機械分析装置TMA-60を用い、サンプルサイズを幅5mm、長さ15mmとし、荷重5g、10℃/minの昇温速度で加熱した際の100℃から200℃までの寸法変化から求めた。
日立製作所製の分光光度計U-4100を用いて、波長500nmの透過率を求めた。
日立製作所製の分光光度計U-4100を用いて、波長380~780nmの透過率を測定することにより、a*値、b*値、L*値を求めた。
Tgは、レオメトリック・サイエンティフィック社製の動的粘弾性測定装置RSAIIを用いて、10℃/minで昇温させたときの動的粘弾性を測定し、tanδの極大値からTgを求めた。
山菱電気製の耐圧試験機HVT-200-5を用いて、フィルム厚さ方向に対して電圧を0.5kV/secで昇圧させ、導電するまでの電圧を破壊電圧とした。
Agilent Technologies社製のPNA-L Network Analyzer N-5230Aを用いて、スプリットポスト誘電体共振器法(SPDR法)により周波数5GHzの誘電率、誘電正接を求めた。
500Lのフラスコに重合溶媒としてNMP255gを加えた。次いで、ジアミン成分としてp-PDA9.4g(0.087mol)、4,4’-DAPE4.3g(0.022mol)を添加後、30℃で撹拌してNMPにp-PDAと4,4’-DAPEのジアミン成分を溶解させた。
得られた溶液に、酸無水物成分としてBPDA25.6g(0.087mol)、PMDA4.8g(0.022mol)を一緒に徐々に添加した。
その後、室温下で10時間撹拌することによりポリアミック酸樹脂溶液を得た。得られたポリアミック酸樹脂溶液100g中のポリアミック酸の固形分重量は15gであった。ここで、ポリアミック酸の固形分重量は、酸無水物化合物、ジアミン化合物、溶剤の仕込みの質量から算出した。
得られたポリアミック酸樹脂溶液100g(固形分重量15g)にイソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料FK4280を0.45g添加し、3時間撹拌することで黒色のポリイミド樹脂用組成物を得た。
上記のポリイミド樹脂用組成物を銅箔の光沢面にイミド化後の樹脂層厚さが25μmになるようにバーコーダーを用いて塗布し、130℃で10分間乾燥させた。ポリアミック酸樹脂溶液を塗布し乾燥した銅箔を、室温まで冷却後、350℃まで5時間で昇温し、350℃で30分間保持後、室温まで自然冷却し、2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板を得た。得られた2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板の銅箔を除去することで、厚さ25μmの黒色ポリイミドフィルムを得た。
イソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料の添加量を、表1に示した量に代えたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板、及び黒色のポリイミドフィルムを得た。
実施例1で得られたポリアミック酸樹脂溶液を銅箔の光沢面にイミド化後の樹脂層厚さが25μmになるようにバーコーダーを用いて塗布し、130℃で10分間乾燥させた。ポリアミック酸樹脂溶液を塗布し乾燥した銅箔を、室温まで冷却後、350℃まで5時間で昇温し、350℃で30分間保持後、室温まで自然冷却し、2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板を得た。得られた2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板の銅箔を除去することで、厚さ25μmの黄色透明のポリイミドフィルムを得た。
イソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料の添加量を、表2に示した量に代えたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板、及びポリイミドフィルムを得た。
ペリレンブラック顔料の種類、及び添加量を、表2に示した種類及び量に代えたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、2層フレキシブル銅張り積層板、及びポリイミドフィルムを得た。
上記実施例1~3を表1に、比較例1~6の評価結果を表2に示す。
Claims (9)
- ポリアミック酸と、イソインドール骨格を有するペリレンブラック顔料と、を含むポリイミド樹脂用組成物であって、
前記ペリレンブラック顔料の含有量が、前記ポリアミック酸の固形分重量100質量%に対して1~10質量%であるポリイミド樹脂用組成物。 - 請求項1又は2記載のポリイミド樹脂用組成物を硬化させて得られるポリイミド樹脂。
- 請求項3記載のポリイミド樹脂が金属箔上に積層された金属張り積層板。
- 2層フレキシブル金属積層板である、請求項4記載の金属張り積層板。
- 請求項3記載のポリイミド樹脂から形成されるポリイミドフィルムを含むカバーレイ。
- 接着剤層を更に含む、請求項6記載のカバーレイ。
- 前記接着剤層は、エポキシ樹脂、フェノキシ樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ウレタン樹脂からなる群から選択される1種以上の樹脂を含む、請求項7記載のカバーレイ。
- 請求項6~8のいずれか1項記載のカバーレイが、回路形成された金属箔上に設けられたフレキシブルプリント配線板。
