が好適であり、さらに、この印刷フィルムを金属缶の外面に施す場合には、
(4)前記透明樹脂フィルムの他方の表面に仕上げニス層が形成されていること、
が好適である。
一方側の表面に下地層が形成されている透明樹脂フィルムを用意し、
前記透明樹脂フィルムに形成されている前記下地層の表面に、インキジェットプリンタを用いてインキジェット印刷像を形成する工程;
前記インキジェット印刷像を硬化する工程;
硬化したインキジェット印刷像を覆うように、白インキベタ層を印刷する工程;
前記白インキベタ層を乾燥硬化する工程;
を含むことを特徴とする容器用インキジェット印刷フィルムの製造方法が提供される。
(1)前記インキジェット印刷層を硬化する工程と白インキベタ層を印刷する工程との間に、光輝インキ層を形成し且つ乾燥硬化する工程を有していること、
(2)前記インキジェット印刷像を硬化する工程の直後にグラビア印刷像を形成し且つ乾燥硬化する工程を有していること、
が好適である。
一方側の面に下地層が形成された透明樹脂フィルムが巻回される原反ローラと、該原反ローラに巻回されたフィルムを巻き取るための巻き取りローラとを備え、
前記原反ローラから巻き取りローラによって巻き取られるフィルムの移送路には、移送される透明樹脂フィルムの下地層表面に、インキジェットによる印刷像を形成するためのインキジェット印刷装置、インキジェットによる印刷像を硬化するためのインキ硬化装置、移送されるフィルムを反転するフィルム反転装置、インキジェットによる印刷像の上から白インキをベタ印刷するための白ベタ印刷装置、及びベタ印刷された白インキを乾燥硬化するためのインキ乾燥硬化装置が、この順で配置されていることを特徴とする容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム製造装置が提供される。
本発明の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルムの基本層構造を示す図1を参照して、全体として1で示す容器用インキジェット印刷フィルムは、透明樹脂フィルム10を基材フィルムとして有するものであり、この透明樹脂フィルム10の一方の面に、下地層11が形成されており、下地層11の表面には、インキジェット方式により印刷された印刷像13を有しており、さらに、この印刷像13を被覆するように、白インキベタ層15が設けられている。
このような下地層11の厚みは、通常、0.1乃至2.0μm程度である。
例えば、シームレス缶は、加熱した缶胴部に印刷フィルム1を巻き回しして熱接着し、さらに、曲面塗装機を用いて仕上げニス層を塗布し、乾燥硬化させた後、ネックイン加工、フランジ加工等の加工に付され、内容物が充填された後、蓋材が巻締め固定され、販売に供される。あるいは、印刷フィルム1の表面(下地層11が形成されていない側の面)に仕上げニス層を設け、焼き付けて半硬化状態にした後、加熱した缶胴部に印刷フィルム1を巻き回しして熱接着させ、加熱オーブンで乾燥硬化させた後、ネックイン加工以後の上記工程で作製することもできる。
また、溶接缶では、印刷フィルム1の表面(下地層11が形成されていない側の面)に仕上げニス層を設け、焼き付けて乾燥硬化させた後、白インキベタ層15の表面に接着剤を塗布して接着剤層を設ける。次いで、この印刷フィルム1を所定の大きさに裁断し、加熱した金属板に溶接相当部を除いて、裁断された印刷フィルム1を熱接着し、次いで、印刷フィルム1が貼着された金属板を丸めてオーバーラップ部を溶接し、缶内外面の溶接部に防錆塗料を塗布・乾燥し、さらに、ネック加工、フランジ加工を行い、印刷フィルム1が貼着されている溶接缶を得ることができる。
さらに、パウチでは、印刷フィルム1の白インキベタ層15上に接着剤層を兼ねたヒートシール層を公知の接着剤を介して設け、ヒートシール層の端部同士のみを熱接着(3方シール)し、所定の大きさに切断することによりパウチが得られる。あるいは、パウチ形成用フィルムの表面に公知の接着剤層を介して印刷フィルム1の白インキベタ層15を接着し、次いで、パウチ形成用フィルムの最内層であるヒートシール層の端部同士を接着し、所定の大きさに切断することによってもパウチが得られる。
本発明の印刷フィルム1は、上述した基本構造を有している限り、種々の設計変更が可能であり、印刷フィルム1の加飾性を高めることができる。このような他の層構造の例を図2及び図3に示した。
前述した各種の層構造を有する本発明の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム1は、透明樹脂フィルム10の一方の面に、前述した下地層11が形成された原反フィルムを作製し、この原反フィルムの下地層11の表面に、前述したインキジェット印刷像13及び白インキベタ層15を形成することにより製造される。
尚、図4の装置では、白インキベタ層15とインキジェット印刷像13との間に光輝インキ層19が形成し得るようになっている。即ち、この装置によれば、図2に示す層構造の印刷フィルム1を製造することができる。
また、溶接缶に貼着する場合には、巻き取られた印刷フィルム1の他方の表面(下地層11の反対側の面)に仕上げニス剤を塗布・加熱乾燥硬化により仕上げニス層20を形成し、その後印刷フィルム1の白インキベタ層15上に接着剤を塗布・乾燥し、溶接缶用金属板の外面側に熱接着され、製缶される。
また、パウチに使用する場合には、巻き取られた印刷フィルム1の白インキベタ層15上に接着剤を介して熱接着性フィルムをラミネートし、パウチ端部相当部を熱接着するかあるいは、パウチ用フィルムに接着剤を介して印刷フィルム1を接着し、パウチ用フィルム最内層のパウチ端部相当部を熱接着してパウチが製造される。

Claims (9)
- 透明樹脂フィルムの一方の表面に、下地層を介してインキジェット印刷像が形成され、該インキジェット印刷像を覆うように白インキベタ層が形成されていることを特徴とする容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム。
- 前記下地層を介して前記インキジェット印刷像と共にグラビア印刷像が形成されている請求項1に記載の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム。
- 前記印刷像と前記白インキベタ層の間に光輝インキ層が形成されている請求項1に記載の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム。
- 前記白インキベタ層の上に、容器表面に接着するための接着剤層が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム。
- 前記透明樹脂フィルムの他方の表面に仕上げニス層が形成されており、金属缶の外面に設けられる請求項1に記載の容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム。
- 一方側の表面に下地層が形成されている透明樹脂フィルムを用意し、
前記透明樹脂フィルムに形成されている前記下地層の表面に、インキジェットプリンタを用いてインキジェット印刷像を形成する工程;
前記インキジェット印刷像を硬化する工程;
硬化したインキジェット印刷像を覆うように、白インキベタ層を印刷する工程;
前記白インキベタ層を乾燥硬化する工程;
を含むことを特徴とする容器用インキジェット印刷フィルムの製造方法。 - 前記インキジェット印刷像を硬化する工程と白インキベタ層を印刷する工程との間に、光輝インキ層を形成し且つ乾燥硬化する工程を有している請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 前記インキジェット印刷像を硬化する工程の直後にグラビア印刷像を形成し且つ乾燥硬化する工程を有している請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 一方側の面に下地層が形成された透明樹脂フィルムが巻回される原反ローラと、該原反ローラに巻回されたフィルムを巻き取るための巻き取りローラとを備え、
前記原反ローラから巻き取りローラによって巻き取られるフィルムの移送路には、移送される透明樹脂フィルムの下地層表面に、インキジェットによる印刷像を形成するためのインキジェット印刷装置、インキジェットによる印刷像を硬化するためのインキ硬化装置、移送されるフィルムを反転するフィルム反転装置、インキジェットによる印刷像の上から白インキをベタ印刷するための白ベタ印刷装置、及びベタ印刷された白インキを乾燥硬化するためのインキ乾燥硬化装置が、この順で配置されていることを特徴とする容器用インキジェット印刷フィルム製造装置。
