Abstract

 透明基板1上に形成した透明導電層2上に色素増感半導体層3、多孔質絶縁層4および対極5を順次積層して色素増感光電変換素子を構成する。対極5は金属または合金からなる箔の多孔質絶縁層4側の片面に触媒層を有するもの、または、触媒能を有する材料からなる箔により形成する。隣接する2つの色素増感光電変換素子の間の部分において1つの色素増感光電変換素子の透明導電層2ともう1つの色素増感光電変換素子の対極5とを互いに電気的に接続する。色素増感半導体層3および多孔質絶縁層4に電解質を含浸させる。各色素増感光電変換素子を封止層7により覆う。
