Abstract

　正極活物質を含む正極３と、負極活物質を含む負極６と、セパレータ４と、アルカリ電解液とを備え、負極活物質は、カルシウム及びビスマスを含有する亜鉛合金粉を含み、亜鉛合金粉は、ビスマスに対しカルシウムを１０重量％以上６０重量％以下含み、ビスマスを０．００４重量％以上０．０２重量％以下含み、且つ粒径７５μｍ以下の粒子を１１重量％以上含む。これにより、アルカリ乾電池において、電池のショート時の急激な温度上昇、及び漏液の発生等の弊害を招くことなく、高出力パルス放電性能を十分に高めることができる。
