Abstract
본 발명은 리튬 이차전지용 음극 활물질 및 이를 구비하는 리튬 이차전지에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 리튬 이차전지용 음극 활물질은, 규소 및 상기 규소 외의 적어도 1종의 금속을 포함하고 리튬과 합금화가 가능한 규소 합금을 포함하며, 상기 규소 합금 내의 리튬과 반응하지 않은 비활성상 영역의 부피는 활물질 전체 부피에 대해 50 내지 75 %이다. 본 발명의 음극 활물질은 탄소계 음극 활물질보다 고용량이면서도, 충방전 후에 부피 팽창이 적고 용량 유지율이 높아 사이클 특성이 우수하다.
