Abstract

 合金元素の含有量を抑制しつつ、高温環境下や水が侵入する環境下においても長寿命な深溝玉軸受(1)を構成する外輪(11)、内輪(12)および玉(13)は、0.3~0.4%の炭素、0.3~0.7%の珪素、0.3~0.8%のマンガン、0.5~1.2%のニッケル、1.6~2.5%のクロム、0.1~0.7%のモリブデンおよび0.2~0.4%のバナジウムを含有し、残部鉄および不純物からなり、珪素+マンガンの含有量は1.0%以下、ニッケル+クロムの含有量は2.3%以上、クロム+モリブデン+バナジウムの含有量は3.0%以下である鋼から構成され、硬化処理層(11B,12B,13B)が形成され、硬化処理層(11B,12B,13B)の表層部の硬度は、725~800HV、表層部の炭化物の最大粒径は10μm以下、面積率は7~25%以下、内部(11C,12C,13C)の硬度は450~650HVである。
