Abstract

課題:吐出動作時のプランジャー先端が液室の内壁に非接触な状態を保持する液滴吐出技術を提供することを目的とし、特に、半田ペースト等のフィラー入りの液材であっても良好な吐出を行うことが可能な液滴吐出装置および方法の提供。 解決手段:液材を吐出する吐出口を有する液室と、液室と連通する貫通孔と、貫通孔に挿通され、その先端部が液室内を進退動するプランジャーと、プランジャーを進退動させるプランジャー移動手段と、プランジャーの先端部の位置を規定するプランジャー位置決定手段とを備え、プランジャーの先端部と液室の内壁が非接触の状態でプランジャーを進出移動および進出停止することで液材に慣性力を与えて液滴の状態に吐出する液滴吐出装置であって、前記プランジャー位置決定手段は、進出停止時のプランジャーの先端部の位置を、その進出方向にある液室の内壁近傍に規定することを特徴とする液滴吐出装置および方法。
