Abstract

  開孔金属薄板からなる帯状の芯材(1)をその長手方向に走行させつつその両面に電極合剤ペースト(5)を塗布し、電極合剤ペースト(5)が塗布された芯材(1)の両面を押圧ローラ(15a、15b)にて片面づつ交互に1回以上押圧した後、電極合剤ペースト(5)が塗布された芯材(1)を、櫛歯状の突起部(17a又は17a、17b)にて芯材(1)の位置を規制するようにした一対の掻き落とし治具(16a、16b)間の隙間に通して電極合剤ペースト(5)の塗布厚を調整することにより、突起部(17a、17b)間の間隔を芯材(1)の溶接箇所が通過できる程度に広げても塗布厚が精度良く調整されるようにしたことにより、塗布厚を精度良く調整できつつ芯材を溶接しながら連続生産した場合でも溶接箇所の噛み込みによる生産トラブルの発生を回避できる電極合剤ペーストの塗布方法を実現する。
