発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0022] 以下、本発明の実施形態を添付図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。
図 1〜図 4は本発明の実施に用 、る装置を示して 、る。
[0023] 同図において、 1はエアシリンダで、その出力ロッド 2の先端には吸着手段としての吸 着パッド 3を備えている。エアシリンダ 1は、その出力ロッド 2を垂直にして搬送手段( 図示せず)に略格子状に取り付けられている。なお、この搬送手段は水平及び垂直 方向に移動自在に構成されて 、る。
[0024] 積層された板材 Wの周囲には複数のガイド部材 4が配置されている。ガイド部材 4は 、図 4に示すように板材 Wの端縁に当接するガイド面 4aを備え、ガイド面 4aの上方に は、多数のノズルを上下方向に配置してなる温風噴射手段 5を配設してある。ガイド 面 4aは湾曲しているため、板材 Wの端縁と線接触し、種々の板材 Wの形状に対応す ることができる。ガイド部材 4は、板材 Wの縦方向と横方向において各吸着パッド 3間 の略中央に収まるように配置してある(図 2参照)。なお、図 1において、ガイド部材 4 は 1つだけ図示し、残りのものは図示を省略してある。温風噴射手段 5は、板材 Wに 対する空気の吹付効率を良くするため、ガイド面 4aから距離 Lだけオフセットさせてあ る(図 3参照)。
[0025] 次に、この装置を用いて板材 Wを分離する方法を説明する。
予め、図 3に示すようにリフタ 6上に板材 Wを積層し、その端面にガイド部材 4のガイド 面 4aを押し当てて板材 Wを位置決めしておく。そして、リフタ 6で板材 Wを持ち上げ、 上側の板材 Wの端面に温風噴射手段 5から温風を吹付ける。なお、最上の板材 Wが 取り除かれる都度、リフタ 6で板材 Wを持ち上げ、上側の板材 Wの端面に温風が吹 付けられるようにしておく。
[0026] まず、第 1の工程では、積層された板材 Wの真上まで搬送手段を移動し、エアシリン ダ 1を伸張させて吸着パッド 3を最上の板材 Wの表面に略格子状に吸着配置する( 図 1参照)。つまり、吸着パッド 3は最上の板材 Wの表面に縦横両方向に整列した状 態で配置されることになる。
[0027] 図 5に示す第 2の工程では、温風噴射手段 5から板材 Wの端面に温風を吹き付け ながら複数のエアシリンダ 1を収縮させる。ここで、略格子状に配置された吸着パッド 3のうち、千鳥状に配置されたもので最上の板材 Wを保持しながら、残りの吸着手段 3で最上の板材 Wを持ち上げる。同図において、収縮させるエアシリンダ 1は灰色に 塗り潰してある。
[0028] 図 6に示す第 3の工程では、温風噴射手段 5から板材 Wの端面に温風を吹き付け ながら、第 2の工程で最上の板材 Wを保持していた吸着パッド 3を持ち上げる。この 結果、最上の板材 Wがエアシリンダ 1のストローク Lだけ持ち上げられて 2番目の板 材 Wカゝら分離される。分離された板材 Wは、搬送手段によってプレス成形機に供給

される。
[0029] ところで、第 2の工程において、吸着パッド 3が最上の板材 Wの周縁部を持ち上げる と、 2番目の板材 Wとの間に形成される空隙が板材 Wの中央に向カゝつて進行し、他

の吸着パッド 3による板材 Wの持ち上げが可能になる。つまり、略格子状に配置され た吸着パッド 3のうち、千鳥状に配置されたものによって、最上の板材 Wが持ち上げ られ波状に変形する。その際、図 8に示すように 2番目の板材 Wも同時に持ち上げら

れてしまっても、 2番目の板材 Wは弾性復元力 f〖こよって最上の板材 Wから分離さ
2 1 れること〖こなる。
[0030] この結果、板材 Wの周縁部だけでなぐ板材 Wの中央部においても持ち上げられる 部分が生じ、最上の板材 Wの密着面積力 、さくなる。つまり、その分だけ最上の板 Wの吸着力が小さくなるので、第 3の工程において、残りの吸着パッド 3による板 材 Wの持ち上げ力が小さくて済み、最上の板材 Wの分離が完全になものとなる。こ の結果、板材 wの面積が大きい場合でも、剥離部材を用いることなぐ最上の板材 W だけを確実に分離することができる。
[0031] さらに、第 2及び第 3の工程において、最上の板材 Wと 2番目の板材 Wとの間の隙

間に、温風噴射手段 5から温風を吹き込みながら吸着パッド 3で板材 Wを持ち上げ ているので、図 9に示すように、これら板材 W , Wとの隙間に温風が吹き込まれ、油

膜 oの動粘度が低下し、油膜 oが除去され易くなる。このため、最上の板材 Wの吸着 力 Fが低下し、板材 Wの分離が促進される。図 9は、油膜 oの表面張力 Fpにより板材 Wに吸着力 Fが生じる状態を説明する図である。図 10は油膜の動粘度と温度との関 係を示す図である。
[0032] ところで、板材 Wの端面には、図 11に示すような傾斜面を設けておくのが好ましい。
すなわち、板材 Wの端面から下面 Waに連なる第 1の傾斜面 7を下側の隅部に形成 するとともに、第 1の傾斜面 7の上端 Pから上面 Wbに連なる第 2の傾斜面 8を上側の 隅部に形成してある。これら傾斜面 7,8は、板材 Wの上下の隅部を削って形成しても よいし、板材 Wの端部を圧縮して形成してもよい。板材 Wがアルミ-ユームのような軟 らかい材料の場合、第 1及び第 2の傾斜面 7,8は圧縮によって形成すればよい。
[0033] このような傾斜面 7,8を設けておくと、温風噴射手段 5から水平に噴射された温風が、 上側板材 Wの第 1の傾斜面 7と下側板材 Wの上面 Waとの間の空隙 9に侵入し、上

側板材 Wの端部を持ち上げようとする(図 13参照)。また、温風が下側板材 Wの第

2の傾斜面 8に沿って上方へ流れ、上側板材 Wの第 1の傾斜面 7に当り、上側板材 Wの端部を持ち上げようとする。つまり、上側板材 Wの端部には温風による持上力 Fが作用する。そして、最上の板材 Wの端部が吸着パッド 3によって捲り上げられると 、ここから板材間の隙間に温風が侵入し、隙間が拡大していく。つまり、板材の密着 面積が減少した状態で最上の板材 Wが持ち上げられる。このため、図 14に示す従 来の分離方法を採用した場合でも、実用上支障のない板材分離が可能になる。
[0034] 板材端部の持上力 Fを大きくするためには、第 1及び第 2の傾斜面 7,8は以下のよう に形成するのが好ましい。すなわち、第 1の傾斜面 7は、その高さ hの板材 Wの肉厚 t に対する比率が 15〜25%になるように形成するのが好ましい。また、第 1の傾斜面 7 の傾斜角 αは 10〜20度に、第 2の傾斜面 8の傾斜角 βは 10〜20度に、つまり、第 1及び第 2の傾斜面 7,8のなす角度 γは 80〜: LOO度に形成するのが好ましい。この 結果、隣接する板材 W ,W間において、第 1及び第 2の傾斜面 7, 8のなす角度 δは

80〜 100度になる(図 11 , 12参照)。
[0035] 第 1の傾斜面 7の比率 h/tが 15%未満の場合、第 1の傾斜面 7の下方の隙間が狭く なり、この隙間に温風が進入しに《なる。一方、比率 h/tが 25%を超えると、第 1の 傾斜面 7の下側板材 W上縁から突出する量が小さくなるため、下側板材 W側から
2 2 吹き上がる温風が第 1の傾斜面 7に当りに《なる。
[0036] また、第 2の傾斜面 8の傾斜角 /3が 20度を超えると、空隙 9に温風が流れ込み易くな る力 上側板材 Wの第 1の傾斜面 7に対して温風が斜めに当るようになるため、板材 端部の持上力 Fが減少する。一方、傾斜角 βが 10度未満の場合、温風が水平方向 に流れ易くなり、板材端部の持上力 Fが減少する。
[0037] さらに、第 1及び第 2の傾斜面 7,8の交差する角度 γは 90度であるのが最良である。
この場合、下側板材 W側力も吹き上がる温風が、上側板材 Wの第 1の傾斜面 7〖こ

対して直角に当り、板材端部の持上力 Fが最大になる。ただし、加工誤差を考慮する と、角度 0は 80から 100度であれば実用上支障ない。このようにして角度 j8と角度 γ が決まると、第 1の傾斜面 7の傾斜角 αは 10〜20度となる。
[0038] なお、以上の実施形態では、吸着パッド 3は、最上の板材 Wの表面に格子状 (縦横 両方向に整列した状態)に吸着配置されているが、板材 Wの形状によっては、吸着 ノッド 3の全てが必ずしも縦横両方向に整列配置されて 、なくてもょ 、。
[0039] また、以上の実施形態では、板材 Wとして四角形のものを用いたが、板材 Wの形状 はこれに限定されるものではな!/、。
[0040] 〔実施例〕
板材 Wとして、プレス成形用の潤滑油が塗布された大きさ 1000 X 1700mm、厚さ 1 mmのアルミ-ユーム合金板を使用した。なお、このワークは端部に第 1及び第 2の傾 斜面 7,8を有している。この板材 Wの表面に 15個の吸着パッド 3を縦 5列横 3列で 30 Ommの等間隔をおいて吸着配置した。吸着パッド 3の直径は 100mm、エアシリンダ 1のストローク Lは 30〜50mmであった。パイプ 4から 30〜100°Cの温風を吹き出し ながら第 2, 3の工程を実施した。 [0041] 150枚の板材 Wについての実験において、完全な分離ができた割合は 97.3%であ つた。残りの 2.7%は 2枚取りが生じた力 第 3の工程でエアシリンダ 1が上死点に達し た際に分離された。
[0042] 比較例として、同じ板材 Wについて同じ方法で実験を行った。ここでは、図 8に示す 剥離部材 53を使用した。
[0043] 100枚の板材 Wにつ!/、ての実験にお!、て、完全な分離ができた割合は 95%であつ た。残りの 5%は 2枚取りが生じ、そのうちの 2%はエアシリンダ 1の上死点で分離され

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 積層された板材力 最上のものを分離する方法において、
最上の板材の表面に複数の吸着手段を略格子状に吸着配置する第 1の工程と、 略格子状に配置された吸着手段のうち、千鳥状に配置されたもので最上の板材を保 持しながら、残りの吸着手段で最上の板材を持ち上げる第 2の工程と、
第 2の工程で最上の板材を保持していた吸着手段を持ち上げる第 3の工程と、 からなることを特徴とする板材の分離方法。
[2] 第 2及び第 3の工程において、最上の板材と 2番目の板材との間に温風を吹き込み ながら吸着手段による板材の持ち上げを行うことを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の板材 の分離方法。
[3] 予め、板材の端面力 下面に連なる第 1の傾斜面を下側の隅部に形成するとともに 、板材の端面力 上面に連なる第 2の傾斜面を上側の隅部に形成しておくことを特徴 とする請求項 2に記載の板材の分離方法。
[4] 積層された板材力 最上のものを分離する方法において、
板材の端面力 下面に連なる第 1の傾斜面を下側の隅部に形成するとともに、板材 の端面力 上面に連なる第 2の傾斜面を上側の隅部に形成しておく第 1の工程と、 最上の板材の中央部と両端部に吸着手段を吸着配置する第 2の工程と、 板材の端面に温風を吹き付けるとともに、板材の中央部に配置された吸着手段で最 上の板材を保持しながら、残りの吸着手段で最上の板材を持ち上げる第 3の工程と、 板材の端面に温風を吹き付けながら、第 3の工程で最上の板材を保持して ヽた吸着 手段を持ち上げる第 4の工程と、
からなることを特徴とする板材の分離方法。
