Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Suspension von kristallinen und/oder verdichteten, oberflächenmodifizierten, nanoskaligen Partikeln in einem Dispergiermittel, wobei das Verfahren folgende Schritte umfasst: a) eine Suspension von amorphen oder teilkristallinen, nicht oberflächenmodifizierten, nanoskaligen Teilchen in einem Dispergiermittel wird wärmebehandelt, um die Teilchen zu kristallisieren und/oder zu verdichten, und b) die Suspension der kristallisierten und/oder verdichteten, nicht oberflächenmodifizierten, nanoskaligen Teilchen in dem Dispergiermittel von Schritt (a) oder in einem anderen Dispergiermittel wird in Anwesenheit eines Modifizierungsmittels durch mechanische Beanspruchung aktiviert, so dass die Teilchen durch das Modifizierungsmittel oberflächenmodifiziert werden, um eine Suspension von kristallinen und/oder verdichteten, oberflächenmodifizierten, nanoskaligen Teilchen zu erhalten. Das Dispergiermittel kann aus dem erhaltenen Kolloid entfernt werden, um das entsprechende Pulver zu erhalten. Durch das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren können hochdisperse Teilchen mit einem mittleren Teilchendurchmesser unter 20 nm erhalten werden, die auf einfache Weise mit einer für den jeweiligen Anwendungszweck maßgeschneiderten Oberflächenchemie versehen werden können.
