Y DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,909, dated. August 6, 1901. Application filed September 8, 1900. Serial No. 29,464. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and 5 produced a new and original Design for Heating-Stoves, of which the following;r is a specication.

My design for a heating-stove is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which Io represents a stove in perspective.

The essential feature of the design is the peculiar form of scrollwork on the body of the stove.

A is the quadrangnlar body of the stove.

I5 B is the base, and C is the cover-plate or top, of the stove.

The body A of the stove is quadrangular, and at each corner are columns et a, having leaf designs thereon. The upper portion of 2o the body is extended at a', and on these eX- tended portions are S-scrolls, and at each corner they form a bead-scroll rosette. Under these rosettes are scrolls.

The lire-door c has a central rosette and 25 scrolls, and leaf-scrolls make up the body of the door. Above the door is a curved rib with scrolls within the arch. The panel ct, below the fire-door, has two main scrolls, from which extend numerous branches, as shown.

3o The side panelsE of the stove are in keeping with the general design of the front panels.

The ash-pit door f has two circular projections, one at each side of the center, and above the projections are small rosettes, and between these rosettes is a fan-like design. The 3 5 design of the portion 0f the body surrounding the ash-pit has scrollwork in keeping with the scrollwork at the upper portion of the body.

The base of the stove B is supported on 4o legs, and extending from one Aleg to the other is a ribbon-scroll, from which projects intricate leaf-scrolls. At each foot there are leafscrolls mounted Within the scroll framework. The foot-rests t' t' at each side are ornamented 45 to correspond with the general ornamentation of the stove.

The top or cap plate C of the stove has a design in keeping with the body of the stove.

I claim- 5o The design for a stove as herein described and as illustrated in the accompanying draw- Ing.
