THOMAS I. RANKIN, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO ABRAM COX STOVE COMPANY, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, A CORPORATION OF PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,220, dated October 22, 1901.
Application filed August 16,1901- Serial No. 72,319. Term of patent 7 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design fora Heating-Stove, of which the following is a specification.
My design foraheating-stoveis clearlyillustrated in the accompanying drawing, which represents the stove in perspective.
The essentia1 features of the design are, first, the quadrangular shape of the body of the stove, on which is surmounted a heavy crown-section, and, second, the ornamentation of the body and crown.
J is the base of the stove, having scrollwork ornamentation thereon. J is the ashpit section, the lower portion of which is ornamented with three medallions in line with scrolls on each side.
J is the fire-pot section, having quadrangular doors on three sides, each ornamented with vertical bars, the front door having in addition scroll ornamentation.
J 3 is the combustion-chamber section, having three open-work doors j, curved and ornamented at the top with scrollwork. The front door also has spiral scroll ornamentation interlaced with the bar ornamentation.
J is the magazine-section, forming the crown of the stove, supported on the four columns j of the combustion-chamber section.
