Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cooking-Stove, of which the following is a specification.

On each foot f below the medallion f are scrolls f The oven-door B has a central name-plate bordered by a plain scroll b and at the bottom with a shell-scroll b, and at each side with an inverted shell-scroll 5 At the upper left-hand corner of the door is a fluted scroll b and the balance of the ornamentation is made up of shield, shell, and foliated scrolls, as shown.
The fire and ash-pit doors 0 and D are ornamented in keeping with the oven-door, and the face of the hot-water reservoir is 3 5 ornamented in keeping with the oven-door, having a shell-scroll e at one lower corner, a fan-scroll c at the opposite lower corner, and above the fan-scroll an ornamental crossbar medallion 6 The mantle-support G is in the form of a large shield, having a central ornamental panel circular in form and having starshaped figures surrounding a rosette at the center.
