To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, THOMAS I. RANKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for a Cooking-Stove, of which the following is a specification.

My design for a cooking-stove is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawing, the figure of which represents the stove in perspective.

The essential feature of the design is a cooking-stove in which a heart-shaped figure is combined with scroll ornamentation, as

shown.

At each corner of thebase E are heart-shaped figures e, bounded on each side by scrolls e and supported on the under side by two scrolls 6 At the center of the apron of the base is a heart-shaped figure 6 on each side of which are floral scrolls 6 Between the center ornaments and corner ornaments is a panel e flat on top and curved on each side, and belowthe panel is a long scroll. On the upper part of the base is a figured band 6.

The oven-door F has a central heart-shaped panel f, with a plain center and scrolls f at each side, a floral scroll f at the base, and a scroll f at the top. At each corner of the oven-door are scrolls in keeping with the main body of the design.

In the center of the fire-door G is a heartshaped design 9, with an ornamental border, and on the two upper corners of the door are scroll ornaments in keeping with the design.

The ash-pit door H has a circular ornament at the center, with scrolls projecting from each corner.

The mantel-support I has a large heart= shaped figure i at the center, bordered by a series of scrolls, two of which turn in to form the heart-shaped figure and two extend and merge with other scrolls, forming the other portion of the design. The scrolls are extended below the central figure and are coiled on each side to form the base of the mantel support.

Above the mantel-shelf is an ornamental plate having a central heart shaped figure j and side panels j, bordered by scrolls.

I claim 1. The design for a cooking-stove as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.

2. In the design for a cooking-stove, the base as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.

3. In the design for a cooking-stove, the oven-door as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.

4. In the design for a cooking-stove, the fire-door as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.

5. In the design for a cooking-stove, the ash-pit door as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.

6. In the design for a cooking-stove, the mantel-support as herein described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.
