DESIGN FOR A STOVE.

Be it known that I, CHARLES WIPFLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented and produced anew and original Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing, in which my new design is shown in a single perspective view.

The leading features of my design are, first, the ornamentation of the base comprising panels on the sides ornamented with a scroll design, separated by faces at the corners, ornamented by basket or wicker ware panels, and second, the design for the body comprising ornamental fillers at the corners supporting arched shaped caps with scroll ornamen tation and intermediate scroll panels crossed by ornamental bands and a top supported on p the arched shaped caps.

The design comprises in detail a rectangular base, the sides of which are ornamented with a scroll design and supported upon legs at the corners, between which is an edging ornamented with scrolls. Upon this base or base ring is the ash section smaller than the base and rectangular, the sides being paneled and the panels ornamented by a scroll design. The corners are flattened to form faces between the side panels, and these faces are ornamented with wicker ware or basket ornamentation.

The top or body of the stove rests upon the ash section and is rectangular. At each corner is a pillar or post enlarging toward the bottom and ornamented on both sides with a scroll design. Arching from the top of the pillars is an ornamental cap having a scroll design and between the pillars and beneath this cap are the intermediate panels formed with scroll ornamentation and divided by transverse ornamented bands having complementary banded sections on the corner pillars.

The cap is surmounted by a dome shaped top with scroll ornamentation and a suitable urn shaped ornament is arranged centrally on the top.

Upon either side of the ash section are foot rests formed by horizontal ornamented bars, having inclined scroll ornamented ends and supported by means of scroll ornaments extending over these bars.

What I claim as my invention is- 1. In adesign for a stove, the base substantially as shown and described.

2. In a design for astove, the body substantially as shown and described.

3. The design for a stove substantially as shown and described.
