BRADLEY \VOODIIULL, OF DUNMORE, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE SCRANTON STOVE FORKS, OF SCRANTON, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE OR RANGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,664, dated May 17, 1898.
Application filed March 2, 1898. Serial No. 672,343. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, BRADLEY WooDnULL,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Dunmore, in the county of Lackawanna and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cooking Stoves or Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.
The drawing represents in perspective a stove or range ornamented in accordance with my design.
The leading feature of the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation of the parts, as herein shown, described, and claimed.
A is the base, and B the legs, of the stove, the base-rail at the front having the central medallion C and covered with a scroll-andleaf ornamentation, the legs also having the medallion b and covered with a scroll-andleaf ornamentation, the base-rail at the front being covered with a leaf-and-seroll ornamentation. Above the base-rail is a plain :5 band D, and above this band is the ovenshelf E. This shelf is covered on its top or face with a scroll-and-leaf ornamentation and has a convex edge similarly decorated, the lower edge of the same following the outline of the ornamentation.
The oven-door F has a central panel covered with scroll-and-leaf ornamentation, and at the center the panel carries a medallion head or ornamentation c. This central panel is entirely surrounded by scroll-and-leaf ornamentations extending around the margin of the oven-door. To the rear of the ovendoor is located the reservoir G, having the central medallion ornamentation f, the re maining surface of the panel being covered with a scroll-and-leaf ornamentation, the lower edge following the outline of the ornamentation.
To the front of the oven-door is the fire- 5 door H, having a central medallion II, from which radiate the leaf ornamentations h covering the door. Below this door is a panel I, bearing a scroll 'i, and below the panel is the ash-pit panel J, bearing the central medallion j and the scroll-and-leaf ornamentation j.
K indicates the ash-pit door, the lower section of which has the draft-openings 7c and the small panels is, hearing scrolls. The upper section of the door is covered with a depending panel or plate K, ornamented with scroll design. Above the ash-pit door is a panel L, bearing the scroll design, and above this panel is the broiling-door M, ornamented with open scrollwork, as shown. Extending along the side of the stove just immediately above the fire-door and oven-door is a line of scroll ornamentations N, and between the reservoir and oven-door is a band of scroll ornamentation N.
The corners O of the stove are of bamboo design, as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to soon re by Letters Patent, is-
