DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,429, dated December 10, 1901.
Application led October 28, 1901. Serial No. 80,341. Term of patent 14 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. BARNES, of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Heating-Stove, ot which the following is a specication, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The leading foatu re of my' design consists in the general shape, conguration, and ornamentation applied to a heating-stove, of which the drawing is a perspective view.
The base A of the stove rounds outward and is supported on the curving legs l, arranged at the corners and provided wit-h a conventional leaf ornamentation 2. The sides of the base are ornamented between the legs byscrolls Sand central decorations 4. Above the base is a heavy curved molding B, the sides ot' which are provided with the central decorations 4c, at either side of which are conventional ornamental scrolls 5.
C indicates the ash-pit section, having on its front the ornarnented door G and at the sides the ornamented panels 7, from which extend graceful side rails 8. The body D,ex tending upwardly, is encircled by a narrow zone or figured molding 9. At the forward corners are the pilasters l0, having the conventional scroll-and-leat` ornamentation 11,
and at the front and sides of the body'above and below the molding are the doors 12, formed of open ornamentation, as shown.
The top of the stove-body curves inwardly and is composed of open-work ornamentation 13, and surmounting the body is the dome or top section E, having the inwardly-curving recessed portions 14 at the front and sides. The top of the dome is rounded slightly, as are also the bulging corners, both parts being decorated with the leaf ornamentation shown.
F indicates a cover-section rounding inwardly at the sides above a plain band 21 and provided with the scroll ornamentation 22. The top is provided with an ornament 23.
