DESIGN FOR A SHELF-SECTION FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,261, dated November 10, 1996.
Application filed July 6, 1896. Serial No. 598,249. Term of patent 14 year.
To rrl/ Ha /om if IIIIH/ Pour-er,-
30 it known that I, HERBERT W. llEAITIE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Quincy, in the county of Norfolk and State of lliassachusetts, have invented and produced a new Design for Shelf-Sections for Stores and Ranges, of which the following is a specification, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, which shows a perspective view of my design.
The leading feature of my design consists of the shape, configuration, and. ornamentation of the shelf-section for storesand ranges.
The lower portion of the design below the forwardly-extending shelf A may be divided for the purposes ofdeseription into three main parts, the central one containing the ornamental panel I rounding out at the center and having the eorrugations at the edges tapering toward and merging into the rounded portion, and around this panel is the foliated ornamentation in relief. The wings or side portions E at the sides of the central part eontaining the panel 13 are similar, their outer edges being of substantially ogee form and provided with the leaf ornamentation in relief, which also extends inwardly at the upper ends beneath the shelf.\ and merges into the leaf ornamentation at the upper end of the central portion. The lower parts of the wings or side portions E are also provided with the foliated ornamentation l) in relief extending upwardly between said side portions and the central portion and outwardly over the former, while some of the leaves ertend up on the central portion.
The top rail above the sheltA embodies the central ornament l, of the same general type as the ornamental panel 1 and on eitherside are the portions (l, covered with leaf ornamentation in relief, the extreme ends being rounded, as at G.
I claim as my invention- The design for the upper or shell section of a stove or range, substantially as shown and described.
