DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,354, dated May 24,1887

Application filed April 5, i887. Serial No. 233.794. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, IsAAc B. Enema, :1 citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton, State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a HealingStove, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

My invention comprises certain new and original designs for the various castings of a heating-stove, one of these novel features be ing the foot, which is ornamented with agrotesque face, A, in relief, said face being that of a man with heavy mustaches, the ends of which develop into scrolls.

The second part of my invention includes the stove-base, consisting of a concave molding ornamented with a circle of arabesque scroll-work, B.

The third part of my invention includes the ornament-ed fret-work surron nding the fire-pot of a heating stove. This ornamentation consists of the interlaced bamboo canes and leaves,

as seen at 0.

The fourth part of my invention includes the Moorish ornaments D, forming a circle near the outer margin of the main top of a heatingstove.

The fifth part of my invention includes the upper portion of the main top, which is an ogee molding ornamented with a circle of oak-leaves and acorns connected by curved branches, all as shown at E.

The sixth part of my invention includes the swing-top of the stove, which top is a reverse ogee molding ornamented with a chaplet of oak-leaves, F, whose stems radiate from the center of said top.

The seventh feature of my invention consists in combining all the above-described osnaments in the castings for a heating-stove.

I claim as my invention- 1. The design fora stove-foot herein shown and described, the same consisting of a grotesque mans face, A, in relief, said face being provided with heavy mustaches, the ends of which develop into scrolls.

2. The design for a stove-base herein shown and described, the same consisting of a concave molding ornamented with a circle of arabesqne scroll-work, B. 3. The design for a fret-work to surround the fire-pot of a heating-stove, herein shown and described, the same consisting of interlaced bamboo canes and leaves, as seen at G.

4. The design for the outer margin of the main top of a heating-stove, herein shown and described, the same consisting of the Moorish ornaments D, arranged in a circle.

5. The design for the upper portion of the main top of a heating-stove, herein shown and described, the same consisting of an ogee moldingornamented with a circle of oak-leaves and aeoErns connected by curved branches, as shown at 6.. The design for the swing-top of a heating-stove, herein shown and described, the same consisting of a reverse ogee molding ornamented with a chaplet of oak-leaves,F, whose stems radiate from the center of said top.

7. The heating-stove design herein shown and described, the same consisting of the feet, ornamented as at A, the concave base, ornamented as at B, the fire-pot fret-work, ornamented as at G, the main top rim,ornamented as at D, the main top proper, ornamented as at E, and the swing'top, ornamented as at F.
