DESIGN FOR A CUP OR BOWL.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that LCHARLES EDWARD HAVI- LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for 21 Cup or Bowl orSimilar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which Figure 1 is a side elevation of a cup bearing and incorporating my design. Fig. 2 is a horizontal section of same on the dotted line 2 2 of Fig. l, and Fig. 3 is a vertical sec tion of a portion of same on the dotted line 3 3 of Fig. 2.

The leading features of my design consist of the shape of the body of the cup or bowl and the ornamentalconfiguration thereon as shown, without regard to the handle A, which does not form an essential part of the design.

The body of the cup or bowl comprises the upper and lower sections, lettered, respectively, B (J, the upper section B having substantially vertical sides and the lower section 0 being of scalloped surface outline and inclining downward and inward to the base D.

Adjacent to the upper edge of the section B is the ornamental band E, and directly below this band is the scroll ornamentation F.

Along the lower portions of the section B is the scalloped scroll ornamentation G, extending on scalloped lines around the cup or bowl.

\Vhat I claim is- The design for a cup or bowl or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
