This invention relates to certain new and novel designs in cooking-stoves and parts thereof, as more fully hereinafter described, and shown in the accompanying photographic illustration.
A represents the legs of the stove, which are of the usual form, with a semicircular recess formed on each side of the front or presented face, which, with the balance of the leg, is surrounded by a raised band or flat or oval bead, as shown. Upon the front of the leg, near the foot thereof, there is shown in basrelief a representation of a trefoil, and near the upper end of the leg, between the recesses above referred to, there is shown a front representation of a human face.
B' represents an ornamental screen, having semicircular yends to engage with similarlyshaped recesses in the legs above described; but as this screen is fully described and claimed in another coincident application for a patent, no further description is necessary in this specification.
C is the oven-door, of the outline usual in such doors where they are prolonged frontward and underneath the combustion chamber, while its presented face is convex. Its ornamentation consists in aplate of the shape of a unique pot, as shown. Above the nameplate there appears a representation of a ame, giving the appearance of flames rising from within or behind the plate. Underneath the name-plate, and extending up one of its sides, there is shown a floral ornamentation consisting of flowers, stems, and leaves.
D is the door leading into the end of the combustion-chamber of the stove. Its outline is rectangular, and its presented face is convex. Its ornamentation is a round bas-relief shield or medallion, the face of which is ornamented with a floral design, as shown. stem is shown underneath the medallion and extending up one side thereof, and carrying leaves or buds.
E is the end plate or door covering or leading into the warming-closet, which is located below thewater-reservoir. This plate is rectangular in outline, and convex on its presented face. It is divided into three panels of unequal size by ornamental transverse bands or bars. The upper panel is ornamented with a floral design, as shown, near the rear and lower corner of the panel. The central panel has a bas-relief medallion, the face of which is ornamented with scroll work, as shown. Pendent from a rosette near the upper rear corner of the panel there is a representation of a ribbon, which hangs in a loop partially surrounding the medallion, and ter- Ininating in a bow with a fiowing end at the front side of the medallion, as shown.
