DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,416, dated November 12, 1889.

Application filed Augustlll, 1889. Serial No. 321,809. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, JAMES Dwvnn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, county of \Vayne, State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and usefulDesign for an Oak-Stove; and I declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.

The drawing is a perspective \'lB W of a stove embodying my design.

The essential features of my design are as follows:

A represents the feet, with plaid-work at the top and with leaf-scrolls at the sides of the plaid-work. Above this is a plain band B, from which the ash-pit section 0 slopes upwardly and backwardly. This section is ornamented with embossed scrolls, as shown.

D is the fire-pot section, ornamented with flutes or ribs.

E is a plain band, from which depend the brackets E, small at the top and bottom and large at the middle, and which support aplain foot-rail E The brackets extend from the plain baud E to the band B.

F is the combustion-chamber section or drum-section. It has side panels embossed with spiral vine-work and leaves, as shown, the lower part being paneled off by crossmolding a little above the base. The front door G is ornamented by a spray of scrollwork, and a series of spirally-arranged parallel lines radiate from the handle and are coiled about the middle of the door. The door H has mica lights, with a spray of leaf scrolls between the micas. Above the drumsection is a plain hand I. A top section J curves upward and inward, and is ornamented with spiral scrolls, as shown. The Whole is surmounted with a top K, with checked open work and an ornamental urn or top figure. The ash-door L has circular draft-registers encircled by embossed scrolls with leaf-scrolls above on the surface of the door, as shown.

What I claim is- 1. The design for a heating-stove, the same consisting of feet A, with plaid and leaf. or

naments, section B, with embossed scroll 0rnaments, fire-pot section D, with flutes or ribs, plain bands B E, with brackets E and annular foot-rail E drum-section with side panels F, ornamented with embossed scrolls, as shown, door G, with'spray of scroll-work and spirally-coiled parallel lines, door H, with leaf-scrolls between the micas, band I, scrollsection J, and top K, with the door L, ornamented as shown.

2. In the design for aheating-stove, the legs A, with plaid and leaf ornamentation, as shown.

3. In the design fora heating-stove, the ashpit door L, with circular draft-registers encircled by scrolls, and with leaf-serolls on the body of the door above, substantially as shown.

4. In the design for a heating stove, the base-section O, sloped upward and inward and ornamented with embossed scrolls, as shown.

5. In the design for a heating-stove, the plain annular foot-rail E and brackets E, shaped small at the top and bottom and broad at the middle and extending from the band E to the band B, said brackets ornamented with scroll-work, substantially as shown.

6. In the design for a heating-stove, the-side panel F, ornamented with embossed scrolls, as shown, and divided by a cross-molding near the base, substantially as shown.

7. In the design fora heating-stove, the door G, ornamented by sprays of scroll-work, as shown,and with parallel lines springing from the handle and coiled at or near the middle of the door, substantially as shown.

8. In the design foraheating-stove, the door H, with the peculiar leaf-scrolls between the micas, substantially as shown.

9. In the design for a heating-stove, the section J, sloped upward and inward and ornamented with the particular scroll-work, as shown.
