DESIGN FOR A FIREPLACE-HEATER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,515, dated May 3, 1892. Application filed January 11, 1892. Serial No. 417,750- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern-.-

Be it known that I, JEREMIAH J. RICHARD- SON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Fireplace-Heater, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The drawing represents a front perspective view and a profile of a fireplace-heater embodying my new and original design, the sliding doors thereof being partly thrown back to show the interior.

The leading features of my design consist in the arabesque-work above the fire-chamber and between said fire-chamber and the upper edge of the heater, the arabesqne-work being open; the dome of the fire-chamber having the ornamentation and shape as shown, and the sloping and protruding shelf or ledge beneath the heater-'doors,which is ornam ented with arabesqne-work; the peculiar contour of the vertical bars; the additional vertical bars arranged beneath the ledge or shelf, formed in wavy or scalloped lines and located on both sides of the ash-pit, and the ornamentation of the edge of the fender, which has vermicelli figures slanting inwardly toward the center from the sides.

A B are medallions arranged on both sides of the heater, as shown. I also locate centrally above the fire-chamber and at the top of the heater another medallion somewhat smaller in size.

0 is open arabesque-work above the tirechamber and beneath the upper edge D of the heater and on both sides of the fire-chamber and extending down to a point even with the lower edge of the doors E.

F are arabesque ornamentations on the dome of the fire-chamber. The shelf or ledge G slopes and protrudes beneath the doors and is ornamented with arabesqne-work, as shown.

H are vertical bars located on both sides of 5 the ash-pit, formed with wavy or scalloped lines.

On the fender is an ornamentation of vermicelli figures slanting inwardly toward the center from both sides.

Having thus described my invention, the following is what I claim as new therein and desire to secure by Design Letters Patent:

The design for a fireplace-heater, substantially as shown and described.
