DESIGN FOR A STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,611, dated August 28, 1894.

Application filed July 10, 1894. Serial No. 517,152- Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that we, EDWARD J. KING and THOMAS R. KENNEDY, both of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful In provem ents in a Design for a Stove; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, as will enable those skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.

In the drawing is shown a perspective view of a stove which embodies our design.

The essential features of our design consist of a stove top A provided with ornamentation described further on, the rectangular body-portion B, also suitably ornamented, and the base C suitably ornamented. The top A is somewhat rounded on its upper side and is provided with a central portion a both of these being covered with the ornamental scroll work shown. The body portion B is curved outward at the top and this portion is provided with surface ornamentation consisting of the scroll work 1, and at the sides of the front are arranged vertical panels having the ornaments 2 near the top and the scroll work ornaments 3 near the bottom, a zone or ornamented band 4 extending across the center of the front and dividing it into two panels, the upper one 5 having the scroll work and the central ornament 6, and the lower one constituting the front door of the stove ornamented with the open scroll work 7 and the open lower portion 8 for the damper.

The stove base has at the top the ornamental border 9 and below this the surface ornamentation consisting of the volutes 10 at the sides and the central volutes or scrolls 11. At the sides of the stove near the base are provided the ornamental rails 12 and on the side shown in the drawing with the door having the lower panel E ornamented with scroll work as shown and the upper panel D also ornamented. A portion of the side above said door is provided with scroll work G resembling in general efiect that upon the front of the body portion.

We claim as our invention- 1. The design for a stove, substantially as shown and described.

2. In a design for a stove, the design for the base thereof having the band 9, the volutes l0 and the central volute 11 thereon, substantially as shown and described.

3. In a design for a stove, the design for the body thereof having the outwardly curved top 1, the vertical panels having the ornaments 2 and 3, the central ornamental band 4, the upper panel 5 and lower panel, substantially as shown and described.

4. In a design for astove the top Athereof, substantially as shown and described.
