DESlGN FOR A HIGH SHELF FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,155, dated February 11, 1896.
Application filed November 23, 1895. Serial No. 569,963. T r of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
le it known that we, EDWARD J. KING and THOMAS R. KENNEDY, of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Design for the Upper or Shelf Section of Stoves 0r Ranges; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings.
In the drmvings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of our design for the upper or shelf section of a stove or range. Fig. 2 is t vertical sectional view. Fig. I) is a horizontal sectional view taken on the line :6 .r of Fig. 9, and Fig. 4 is a similar view taken on the line 'y y of Fig. 2.
The leading feature of our design consists of the shape and ornamentation of the upper or shelf section adapted to be applied to a stove or range.
The section embodies the central, rounded portion A ornamented, as shown, in relief and havin g on outlined. Maltese cross 13 in the center. 011 the sides of this portion A are the lateral plates or Wings 0 having the curved outline and the vine-and-leaf ornmni'mtntion thereon in relief, as shown. Projecting from the sides or wings U are the shelves 1); but these are not essential to our design, the same general effect being preserved Without them.
E indicates the shelf, and above this the panel F ornamented in relief, as shown, with the conventional leaf ornmnentation.
\Vhat we claim is- The design for the upper or shelf section of it stove or range, substantially as shown and described.
