DESIGN FOR A DRAWER FOR CABINETS.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that LTHEOD OR KUNDTZ, a citi-' zen of the United States of America, residing at Lakewood, in the county of Ouyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a a new and original Design for Drawers for Cabinets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The figure is a perspective view of a drawer, showing my new design.

In my design for a drawer the outer surface or front of the forward end wall a of the drawer slopes forwardly and laterally outwardly, as at 2, from the inner side wall I) of the drawer toward the outer side wall of the drawer, and has an outward curve or swell 3, joining the outer surfaces of the said walls 6 and c. The drawer also curves or swells outwardly, as at 4:, where the outer side wall a joins the rear end wall 01 of the drawer.

The outer surface of the outer side wall of the drawer is sinuously curved between the v rear end and the forward end of the drawer,

having an outward swell or curve 5 centrally between the outward curves or swells 3 and 4 and curving inwardly, as at 6, between the said central outward curve or swell and the aforesaid outward curves or swells 3 and 4.

In the outer side of the forward end wall of the drawer centrally of the drawer is formed a recess 7 in the form of a concavity. The outer side of the forward end wall a projects forwardly, as at 8, at the top of the recess 7, and the said projection 8 extends over the upper portion of the said recess and is provided with upwardly-diverging corrugations 10.

Scrolls 12 appear at the sides of the recess 7 and extend laterally of the ornamental projection 8. Two ornamental figures 13 and 13 appear upon the drawer-front as depending from opposite sides, respectively, of the recess 7. An ornamental border 14 appears upon the drawer-front and extends along the bottom of the recess 7. r

A molding-representing ledge 15 appears at the bottom of the outer sides of the outer side wall and forward end wall of the drawer and extends along and conforms to the outline of the said walls.

The leading and characteristic and essential features of the design hereinbefore described comprise a curved or sinuous outline of the outer surface of the outer side wall of the drawer, a molding-representing ledge 15 upon the outer sides of the forward end wall and the outer side wall at and extending along the bottom of the drawer, a recess 7 formed in the outer side of the forward end Wall, and an ornamental forwardly-projecting portion upon the said outer side of the forward end wall at the top of the said recess and extending over the upper portion of the said recess.

What I claim is- The-design for a drawer substantially as herein shown and described.
