DESIGN FOR AN OPEN-FRONT STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,228, dated December 8, 1891.
Application filed November 12. 1891. Serial No. 411,742. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom 5 may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANCIS RITCHIE, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Troy, Rensselaer county, New York, have invented a Design for an Open-Front Stove, of which the following is a. specification.
My design for an open-front stove is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawing, the View in which represents the face ofthe stove.
The main feature of the design is the ornamentation of scroll-work on the doors and frame and on the columns at each side of the stove.
A is the base of the stove, the legs a of which are ornamented by scrolls, as shown, and supported on the baseis thebody portion l5, having at each sidecolninnsb1 ornamented throughout their length by feather scrollwork, and at the base and at the top of cach column are scroll-rosettes c.
On the projecting front is a dome D, ornainented by scrolls extending from the center toward each side, and above the dome on the Hat portion of the stove at each side of the center are scrolls d d.
The doors E and F are ornamented by scrolls which cover the openings, as shown.
The dome g on the top G of the stove is ornamented in keeping with the rest of the design, and mounted on this dome is an ornainented urn h.
Between the two doors E and F and extending across the stove is an ornamental plate e, and below this plate isa bar f, having a series of small scrolls.
I claim- The design for an open-front stove, substantially as described, and as shown in the accompanying drawing.
