DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,766, dated November 2'7, 1888.
Application filed September 13, Serial No. 285,345. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, FRANK A. SEIFERT and EMERY D. NELLIs, of St. Louis, Missouri,
This design consists partly in the special;
configuration of the entire construction and partly in the special ornamentation appearing upon the stove body, substantially as hereinafter more fully set forth.
The stove-body A, at itslower front, is extended forward to form the hearth B, and it is supported by the legs 0, two of which are arranged at the rear corners, respectively, of the body A and the other two at the front corners, respectively, of the hearth. A leaf, 0, appears upon the legs, and the hearth is finished smooth. Thelower portion, a, of the body A is carrir d up in a substautiallyq'ectangular prismatic form. Upon its front appears a system of ornaments consisting of radiating forms a a a a and leaf ornaments a? a a, alternately arranged, and at the front corners of the body portion a. are pilasters a a, having a leaf, a, substantially as shown. Upon the door D, at the end of the stove -body, is a leaf, d. The upper portion, a", of the stove-body, viewed in front elevation,'widens upward, as shown, and the top E of the stove, which rests upon the portion a, is crowned, as shown, and the structure terminates at the top with the urn F. Strap-work a terminating at the upper end in a scroll, a, appears upon the front of thestove portion a, near the ends respectively thereof, and in the central portion of the front are panels having what may be convcntionaiized leaf ornaments n a, substantially as shown. The edge e of the top E is smooth, and the central portion of the top is in the form of open-work diaper e, and in each square thereof is a flenr-de-lis, e. 5
We claim- 1. In a design for a heating-stove, the body herein shown and described, the same consisting of the lower portion having the rectangular prismatic form and the upper portion wid- 5o ening upward and covered with the crowned top, and having the superimposed ornamentation representing the radiating forms a a a a" and the leaf ornaments a a, alternately arranged,the pilasters bearing the leaf, the strapwork, and the leaf ornaments a.
2. In a design for a heating-stove, the front door herein shown and described, the same consisting of the superimposed ornamentation representing the radiating forms a a a a, and the leaf ornaments alternately arranged.
3. In a design for a heating-stove, the top herein shown and described, the same consist ing of the superimposed ornamentation representing open-work diaper having the fieurde-lis.
4. The design for a heating-stove herein described and shown, the same consisting of the body extended to form the hearth and supported by the legs, arranged as described, and having the crowned top, said body having its lower portion of a rectangular prismatic form and its upper portion widened upward, and said body, legs, and top having the described superimposed ornamentation.
