DESIGN FOR AN OIL-STOVE.

To all whom it may concern/.-
Be it known that l', (ll-IA anus Scuww irrz, a citizen of the Unitedistates, residing at hlilwaukee, in the county of llliln'aukee and State of \Visconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Oil Stoves, of. which the following is a specification, refen ence being had therein to the accompanying photograplnwhich is a perspective view illustrating the design of my said oil-stove.
The legs of the stove are four in number, as shown at a. a, and represent two curved strips united at their converging centers, and with a 1 general inclination at an angle of about fortyfive degrees. Above the legs is the tint openwork base 5, of general rectangular oblong shape. mental open scroll-work, consisting of the eentral oval medallion, c, surrounded by the oval frame 0, the center of whose sides curves inward to meet the sides of the medallion c, and are connected above and below said point of union to ornamental uprights c", which also connectwith the upper corner-pieces, c" c, and the larger and wider corner-pieces c c of the side frame, C, the sides being further orna mented by various scrolls and curved lines, as shown at c 0?. c c", and c The hearth D of the stove is nearly rectangular in form, and its three side edges have an ornamental p0lished band, (I, as shown, and on a plane above said hearth is the stove proper, E, having at its base and top similar ornamental polished edge bands, 6 and e, and upright corner panels, F F, &c., ornamented shown, and a si|nilar upright ornamental panel, F, centrally divides the frontofthe stove, leaving two sections with arched openings f f on each side, and above which are ornamental designsas shown.
The characteristic features of my design are as follows: first, the side frames of ornamental open scroll-work, consisting of a central medallion surrounded by an oval frame, the center of whose sides curves inward to meet the Serial No. 18),TH5.
Above this rise the sides U, of orna- 'lerm of patent '1 years.
I sides of the medallion, with ornamental up rights, cornerpieces, and curved lines, all i united and blended together; second, the stove-body having ornamental base and top polished edge strips, corner ornamental panels, front upright central ornamental panel, and ornamental sections on each side of the front panel, with arched openings; and, third, the design as a whole.
Having thus described and illustrated my new and original. desigrnwhat I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is 1. ln adesignforoil-stoves,theside frames, G,of ornamental open scroll-work,consisting of the central medallion,o,surrounded by the oval frame 0, the center of whose sides curves inward to meet the sides of the medallion, the
ornamental uprights c" c", the corner-pieces c c", and the scrolls and curved lines 0 c 0 all united and blended together, as shown and set forth.
2. In a design for oilstoves, the stove-body 1*], with ornamental base and top polished edge strips, 0 e, corner ornamental upright panels, FF, front upright central ornamental panel, F, and ornamental sections on each side of the front panel, F, with arched openingsf f, as shown and set forth.
3. The design for oil -stoves hereinbefore described, consisting of the inclined ornamental legs a. a, flat ornamental open-work rectangular oblong base 0, ornamental open scroll-work side frames, 0 O, hearth D, with ornamental polished edge band (1. and stovebody E, with ornamental polished edge strips 6 e, upright panels 1* F F, and ornamental front sections with arched openings f, all sub stantially as shown and set forth.
