bESIGN FOR A GAs STOVE.

To all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that I, MATTHEW Garswonn, Jr., a citizen of the United States, residing at Erie, in the county of Erie and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Gas-Stoves; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full,c1ear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, forming part of this specification.

The leading features of my design for a gasstove consist in the shape, configuration, and ornamentation thereof.

In the drawings thus illustrating my design, Figure 1 is a perspective front View of a gas-stove embodying my design therefor. Fig. 2 is a perspective rear view of the same.

In the drawings the base-section A is rectangular in shape and the ends thereof are ornamented with foliate work B. Under the corners of this base are legs G, tapering from their junction with the base downward and curved outward at the lower ends or feet 0 and are ornamented with foliate work 0 and beadwork 0. Upon the front of the base A there is an ornamental name-plate A, and across the front of the upper part of the base A there is a round foot-rest D, having orna mental ends d. Extending upward from the base A, near the ends thereof, are oval pipes E, which form the ends of the stove, these pipes E being ornamented with rows of headwork e. Between the pipes E E there is a vertical asbestos-covered fire-front F, at the ends of which are reflectors G, which extend from the fire-front F, curving outward, so as to conform to the inner faces of the pipes E E, forming the ends of the stove. Below the fire-front F there is a reflectorH,which curves upward from the front of the base A to the lower part of the fire-front F at the point where the burner I is located.

At the rear of the fire-front F there are two pipes J J, ornamented with beads j j, extending from the base A upward equidistant from each other and from the end pipes E E. Upon the tops of the end pipes E E, the pipes J J, and the fire-front F there is a rectangular stove-top K, having its under surface, rear face, and ends flat, but having its upper surface curved from the top of the back thereof to the front of the bottom thereof. The ends of this top are ornamented with serollwork L, and on the central part of the front of the curved top there is a plate having two kneeling winged figures M M thereon surrounded by scrollwork M. Upon the ends of the top of the stove K there are four posts N, having spherical tops n, in which are secured rails N N, extending across the ends and along the back of the stove-top.

Having thus described my design, what I claim is- The design fora gas-stove substantially as shown and described.
