DESIGN FOR A STOVE.

To all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that I, ISAAC BROOKE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Potts town, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a front perspective of a stove, showing my new design; and Fig. 2, a view showing the design for the back panel of the stove.

The side panels are similar and have the sunburst centers 1, composed of several fan-shaped groupings of ribs or ridges around the circular center. At each corner of the panel are two C-scrolls 2, having spurs or offshoots and radiating ribs and which face each other on opposite sides of an open center. At the ends of these scrolls are figures approximating fleur-de-lis. At each side of the panel and intermediate the corner designs are C-scrolls 3, similar to those previously described, excepting the radiating ribs, and which are grouped about an open center and forming a trefoil. Between the ends of the scrolls or cusps next the sunburst center is a figure approximating a fleur-de-lis.

The scrolls on'the rear panel are substantially the same as those on the side panels. On the upper half of the panel are three C-scrolls 4, arranged in trefoil form about a centralornamented rim 5. The side scrolls have offshoots and radiating notches and the bottom scroll a series of ribs arranged in fan shape. At the sides of the panel are large C-scrolls 6, facing small C-scrolls at the center, which face oppositely. At the bottom are two C-scrolls 7, facing each other and in closing a fluted or fan-shaped figure. The lower corners have small scrolls also.

The fuel-door at the front of the stove has two large C-scrolls 8 at its sides, similar to the side scrolls 4, which face each other. Between their lower ends are small horizontal C-scrolls facing each other. The ash -pit door has upper and lower C-scrolls 9, facing each other and inolosing a shield. At the sides of the damper and ash-pit door on the front stove-panel are lower vertical C-scrolls 10 and upper horizontal C-scrolls 11.

At the corners of the stove-base are oppositely-faced C-scrolls 12 of designs heretofore described, and scrollwork extends from the center toward these corners. The legs 13 have shield-shaped figures O11 their upper parts and scrollwork lower down. The footrails 14 have interlaced scrollwork extending along their lengths.

The top has upper and lower tiers of horizontal C-scrolls and fan-shaped figures 15 of substantially the same designs as used on the sides and front and rear panels. The cover is provided with C-scrolls and fan-shaped figures 16 and surmounted by an ornamental urn 17.

Having thus described my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a stove, substantially as herein shown and described.
