LOUISE SODERHOLM, OF NEWV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO THE BUTTERICK PUBLISHING COMPANY, (LIMITED,) OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A MISSS COSTUME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,256, dated April 10, 1888. Application flied February 23,1888. Serial No. 265,050. Term of patent 3| years.
To all whom iv may concern:
Be it known that I, LOUISE SODERHOLM, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern of a Misss Costume; and I do hereby declarethat the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding ofhow a garment made up by the pattern will appear. i
The design shows a round waist and a Walking-skirt. The skirtdisplays a front drapery falling nearly to the edge at the center and shorter at the sides, and exhibiting draping plaits at the belt and in the side edges; a full back drapery falling even with the front drapery atthe sides and almost to the edge of the skirt at the eenter,and displaying a down- 4 ward-turning plait in either front edge and a looping at the center. The waist displays full fronts and a full back lhat exhibits a fullness at the lower edge, and side plaits extending some distance below the neck and shoulders; a standing collar, and coat-sleeves that display long pnfi's having side plaits extending some distance below the top, and a fullness at the lower edge.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a misss costume, as shown in the engraved prints accompanying this specification.
