The basque displays close-fitting fronts reversed in lapels above the waist-line and closed below the lapels, a. vest that exhibitsa closing at the center and extends: a little below the fronts, a close-fitting back that shapes a postilion which is open at the center and fancifully shaped out at its overlapping front edge, a rolling collar meeting the lapels in notches, a high standing collar, and coatsleeves.
