SPECIFICATICN forming part of Design No. 15,504, dated October 28, 1884-.
Application filed August 7, 1884. Term of patent lilycars.

Be it known that I, MARY TURNER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern of a Ladys Costume, (numbered 9,843;) and I do hereby declare that the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding otlhow a garment made up by the pattern will appear.
The design shows a round walking-skirt and The skirt exhibits a plaited panel at the right side crossed by two straps, a deep front drapery extending from the panel to the left side exhibiting draping plaits in its back edges and flaring forward below the plaits in its left back edge, a deep full back drapery displaying plaits in its front edges, and loop ings at the center. The basque exhibits closely-fitted fronts that outline a point at the lower end of the closing, curve high over the hips, and display a plaited Pompadour ornament below the neck, a deep closely-fitted back that exhibits its skirt arranged in two deep loops below the waist-line, a standing collar, and coat-sleeves that round upward toward the outside seams.
