To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that], MARY TURNER, of the city, county, and State of New York, haveinvented and produced a new and original De sign for a Pattern of a Misss Costume; and I do hereby declare that the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up b the pattern will appear.
The design shows a basque and a round walkingskirt. The skirt displays a side plaited panel on the left side crossed by three straps, a front drapery that falls to the edge of the skirt at the left side and exhibits a high drapery at the right side, Where it folds over in a revers that tapers to a point at the center of the front, a full long back drapery that displays draping plaits in its side edges and loop ings to the skirt. The basque exhibits its fronts meeting at their lower front corners and flaring toward the shoulders, revealing a fancy vest that has a full upper part, which disappears beneath the pointed upper edge of a smooth lower part, a close fitting back that displays its skirt draped in loose folds between two points, a standing collar, and coat-sleeves with loose pufl's above the elbows.
