Be it known that l, CATHERINE SHEILs, of the city, county, and State of New, have invented and produced a new and original Design foraPattern of a Girls Costume; and Ido hereby declare that the engraved prints :1ceolnpanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up by the pattern will appear.
The design shows the fronts meeting at the lower front corners and flaring toward the neck, exposing a pointed vest between them and exhibiting a surpliee fullness down the front edges and a pointed lapel extending from the shoulder on either side to the bust, a closefitting back, a full skirt depending from the body and exhibiting a broad box-plait at the Center of the front, kilt-plaits at either side.` and gathers at the back, a deep ornamental lap crossing the lower part ot' the body at eithcrside and disappearing under a large sashbow at the back, a standing collar, and coatsleeves that display full puits 'from their tops to below the elbows.
