Be it known that l, IlENnIE'rTA F. DUKE, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original De- 5 sign for a Pattern of a Ladys Basque; and I do hereby declare that the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up by I: the pattern will appear.

The design shows treats that are close fitting below the bust, have a surplice fullness at the shoulders, and flare from the bust to the shoulders, exhibiting a pointed Vest between them;
