What I clainias my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design for a ladys costume, as shown in the engraved prints accompanying this T 0 all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRIETTA F. DUKE, of the city, county, and State of New York, haveiuvented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern of a Lady's Costume; and I do hereby declare that the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up by the pattern will appear.

The design shows a basque and a. round walking-skirt. The skirt displays a long front drapery in two parts, which exhibit draping plaiits whereithey meet and also in their upper specification.
