DESIGN FOR A LADYS POLONAISE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,920, dated March 25, 1884-.
Application filed February 13,1885. Term of patent 3i years.
To all ivhom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN QUINCY REED, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Pattern ofa Ladys Polonaise, (numbered 9,132,) and I do hereby declare that the engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a clear understanding of how a garment made up by the pattern will appear.
The design shows closely-fitted fronts, that fall at the center in a short point, over a deep, narrow tablier drapery, exhibiting gatherings in its back edges, and descends at the sides in deep, wide draperies, also displaying gatherings at their back edges and overlapping the tablierat theirfront edges; aclosely-fitted back, 1
that exhibits underfolded plaits at the lower ends of its middle body-seams, and displays draping-plaits in its front edges, and drapingplaits and shirrings at the center, fallingshorter at the left side than at the right, where it is deep and square; coat-sleeves, and a standing collar.
