To all` whom it` may 'concerm Be it known that I, HENRLETIA F. DUKE,` of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and origi nlai Design for a Pattern of a Ladys Tennis Costume; and I do hereby declare thatlthe engraved prints accompanying this specification convey to any one accustomed to using paper patterns a. clear understanding of how a garment made np by the pattern will appear.

The design shows a round walking-skirt and waist. The skirt displays a dat drapery extending to its lower edge all around; a short round tablier drapery exhibiting draping plaits in its side edges; a full back drapery that falls in straight plaits to the edge of the skirt at the right side, presents a rounding outline at the left side where it fails in jabot folds, and exhibits ioopngs near the top. The waistlexhlibits closetting fronts closing 2o at one side oi' the center and displaying n surplice ornament on either side, a. cllosetting back, a sailorcollar falling over the tops of the surpllices, coatsleeves,` and a. belt that shapes a. point at the top and bottom of the z5 center of the front.
