Description

以下為本發明總結,其目的在於提供本發明一些觀點之基本瞭解。此總結之用意並非在於辨識本發明之關鍵/重要元件,或界定本發明之範圍。此總結之唯一目的為,以簡化形式呈現本發明之一些觀念,作為在稍後提供更詳細說明之序言。
在一實例中,一藍芽能力導航裝置與一行動電話配對,以及然後使用行動電話各以不同傳輸功率增益倍數,將複數個調整傳輸發出至遠距伺服器。此等調整傳輸使用頻率音調編碼,此等頻率音調將語音(speech)合成,用於經由行動電話與其無線電信網路之一語音頻道而傳輸。此導航裝置然後根據對所調整傳輸之所接收響應,調整傳輸功率設定,以及使用特定行動電話,以此所調整傳輸功率設定,用於隨後至遠距伺服器之傳輸。本發明額外之觀點與優點將由以下較佳實施例之詳細說明並參考所附圖式而為明顯。
圖1說明一系統,其使用藍芽能力行動電話對於一具有導航裝置之遠距伺服器進行接取。
系統100包括一導航裝置5,其被組態經由此等行動電話1A-B之可供使用之一,將資料上傳至遠距網際網路協定(IP)伺服器15。此軟體8與軟體18交換調整通訊,而以至少每電話基礎(per-phone basis)以調整傳輸功率增益,且然後根據此等行動電話1A-B之那一個目前可供使用,而使用此經調整傳輸功率增益倍數。此以至少每電話基礎之調整,允許導航裝置5在廣泛種類行動電話與無線電信網路上與遠距伺服器15通訊,其再將用於導航裝置5之通訊機會最大化。

此以至少每電話基礎之調整意味著,傳輸功率增益可以根據特定可供使用電話而設定,而並不僅對可供使用電話之特定製造或模式而調整。兩個相同製造或模式之行動電話亦可以不同地影響信號強度,因為在此等行動電話中之組件可以具有不同之操作特徵。例如,電子組件典型地在值之範圍中評估其性能表現。因此,此等電子組件之一些在此範圍之高端操作,而其他組件是在此範圍之低端操作,此可導致在處理期間相同模式之兩個語音編碼器將一信號不同地放大。例如,相同模式之兩個電阻器可以顯示不同電阻,且此等差異再會影響功率增益。為此原因,軟體8與軟體18是以至少每電話基礎而非每模式基礎調整傳輸功率。
雖然軟體8與軟體18是以至少每電話基礎調整傳輸功率,應注意,在某些例中此種調整可以甚至更精細。此將參考圖2稍後更詳細討論。
仍然參考圖1,應瞭解系統100而因此將用於導航裝置5之上傳機會最大化。以另一種方式而言,導航裝置5並不受限於使用任何特別指定電話與IP伺服器15通訊,而是當在幾乎任何藍芽能力行動電話之範圍中時,可以接取伺服器15。

應瞭解,在此所說明之原理可以應用至任何藍芽能力行動裝置,而不論此種裝置是否具有任何導航能力。而且,可以應用以上說明之原理,而不論此裝置與行動電話間之通訊是否使用藍芽或一些其他無線協定。
應瞭解,此功率增益是根據系統輸出信號功率對系統輸入信號功率之比。當使用傳輸功率增益此專有詞時,此相關系統為導航裝置5(或另一被組態將資料上傳至伺服器之裝置)。當使用接收功率增益此專有詞時,此相關系統為伺服器15。
可以使用調整增益之任何已知方法,在導航裝置5上調整此傳輸功率增益。此可以包括:在導航裝置5上電路之輸入級或輸出級中之放大器、可變電阻器、或其他電路組件。
圖2為在圖1中所顯示導航裝置、以及此導航裝置與遠距伺服器間之交互動作,用於調整傳輸功率增益。
導航裝置5包括:由軟體8所更新之表38。此表38稍後被使用根據此可供使用行動電話上之至少一部份,而設定用於傳輸資料之功率增益。
在此例中,導航裝置5與行動電話31之對41建立:在導航裝置5與行動電話31間之藍芽連接。此藍芽連接可以根據在美國專利申請案號12/752,911「USING A BLUETOOTH CAPABLE MOBILE PHONE TO ACCESS A REMOTE NETWORK」中所說明之原理而建立,其在此整個併入作為參考而用於所有目的。而且,此配對可以由來自在導航裝置5上操作應用之請求、或來自導航裝置5使用者介面之請求而觸發。
在此配對期間,此軟體8得知用於行動電話31之藍芽客戶ID。此藍芽客戶ID為整體獨特辨識符,其被使用以獨特地辨識在表38中之行動電話31。
此行動電話31接收來自IP伺服器15之會議啟始請求。導航裝置5處理此請求43,以及然後軟體8使用一機構以延遲會議啟始。例如,軟體8可以藉由以下方式而造成會議啟始被延遲:使用在確認中之位元設定44、或用於延遲會議啟始之任何其他機構。將軟體18組態以觀察位元設定44,以及因此會議延遲啟始。

在伺服器15上,此軟體18接收傳輸且判斷此接收功率增益。此軟體18傳送回響應52以顯示所判斷之接收功率增益。
在導航裝置5上,此軟體8將用於測試資料各傳輸之接收功率增益、與用於該傳輸之傳輸功率增益相關。此相關可以根據在響應52中所包含之資訊而進行。
此軟體8然後分析所接收功率增益倍數。此分析可以包括:產生一圖形,其包括在一軸上之接收功率增益,以及在另一軸上之傳輸功率增益。假如使用此圖形,則此軟體8可以連接在圖上之點以產生一線,然後使用在所產生圖上之線,以內插傳輸功率增益,而其將在伺服器15產生所想要接收之傳輸功率增益。應為明顯,此接收功率增益之分析可以與此等圖形完全無關地操作,但在任何情形中,此傳輸功率增益是根據所接收之傳輸功率增益之分析而內插。此所內插之傳輸功率增益與在傳輸51中所使用之傳輸功率增益典型地為不同值,但可以從在傳輸51中所使用此等傳輸功率增益倍數之一而簡單地選擇。
此軟體8將導航裝置5組態,以致於此傳輸將為在此分析期間所辨識之功率增益,此可以包括:設定在導航裝置5上之藍芽接收發射器,或控制在導航裝置5上之任何其他軟體或硬體組件。因此,當發生延遲會議啟始61時,此傳輸66是在所設定傳輸功率增益。
如同先前所討論,使用IBS數據機9以調變傳輸66之封包資料67。此IBS數據機9從所接收通訊恢復資料,而此所接收通訊是在所調整接收功率增益。
此軟體8亦將所內插傳輸功率增益儲存於表38中,此表與用於行動電話31之獨特藍芽客戶辨識符相關。此表38在行動電話欄與傳輸功率增益欄中顯示項目,以說明此種相關。然後,當根據使用那一個行動電話以傳輸資料時,使用此來自表38之傳輸功率增益倍數。
此所說明之表38亦包括選擇性欄位,此包含網路辨識符,其在調整期間使用以設定此無線電信網路。可以使用此欄以提供對於調整之額外精細度。如同先前所討論,不同的無線電信網路使用不同之語音編碼器,其在至少一些情形中對於接收功率增益具有相當大影響。因此,在一些例中,此調整為以每個電話為基礎且以每個網路為基礎。此在表38中說明,而此藍芽客戶ID C與兩個不同之傳輸功率增益倍數2.5 dB與3.1 dB有關。
應瞭解,可以使用以上所說明原理,而對於調整增加更多精細度,例如在表中其他欄。例如,取決於目前所使用語音編碼器之模式,可以將相同之電話/網路語音編碼器組合而與複數個經調整功率增益倍數相關。語音編碼器可以在不同模式、例如全速率與半速率模式中操作,以及取決於所使用之模式而可以不同地影響到接收功率增益。因此,在一例中,導航裝置5判斷此語音編碼器之目前模式,以及根據此目前模式,在用於此特定電話/網路組合之傳輸功率增益間選擇。其他可能欄包括:一天中之時間、在無線電信網路與伺服器15間之其他中介網路(其他網路例如為:包括語音編碼器之IP網路)等之辨識。
然後,軟體8可以將可供使用行動電話之藍芽客戶ID(以及可能其他變數例如網路ID)與表38比較,以及辨識傳輸功率增益倍數。軟體8然後使用所辨識傳輸功率增益倍數,以設定在行動電話上之藍芽接收發射器。
一旦設定此傳輸功率增益,則此在伺服器15上之軟體8可以持續監視從導航裝置所接收之傳輸。儘管導航裝置5以相同之行動電話使用相同傳輸設定,此接收功率增益可能會隨時間“漂移”或改變。此可以由於許多原因而發生,例如:此導航裝置5與可供使用行動電話在網路間漫遊、僅改變其距發射塔之距離、進入或離開功率節省模式等。在任何情形中,此軟體18可以觸發在導航裝置5上之軟體8,而在任何時間啟始新的調整過程。
軟體18可以判斷:何時需要新的調整過程而使用任何過程。在一例中,軟體18持續監視此來自導航裝置傳輸之接收功率增益,且假如此所接收功率增益落在一臨界範圍之外,則觸發新的調整過程之啟始。在另一例中,此軟體18監視此隨著時間之傳輸誤差率,以及假如此傳輸誤差率超過一臨界值,則觸發新的調整過程之啟始。由於傳輸誤差可能與功率增益以外之其他因素有關,此軟體18可以進行一些最少之故障排除,以排除傳輸誤差,其並不可能由於此傳輸誤差率而由功率增益所造成。
雖然在以上所說明之例中,是由伺服器15發出會議啟始請求43。在其他例中,此導航裝置5可以在發射期間之前、後、或期間實施調整,而發出會議啟始請求。在此種例中,軟體8可能無須造成會議啟始之延遲。

在方塊301中,此導航裝置與一行動電話建立一藍芽連接,用於與遠距伺服器通訊。此藍芽連接可以如同在美國專利申請案號12/752,911「USING A BLUETOOTH CAPABLE MOBILE PHONE TO ACCESS A REMOTE NETWORK」中所說明地建立。

- 如申請專利範圍第2項之可讀取媒體,其中該導航裝 置表包括複數個項目,其各將一特定傳輸功率增益倍數與一藍芽能力行動電話相關。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之可讀取媒體,其中假如執行該等指令會導致:發現用於該行動電話之該藍芽客戶辨識符;辨識該無線電信網路;以及在該導航裝置表中產生該項目,其將所發現該藍芽客戶辨識符與該無線電信網路之辨識之組合、與該第三傳輸功率增益倍數相關。
- 如申請專利範圍第4項之可讀取媒體,其中在該導航裝置表包括複數個該項目,其各將該特定傳輸功率增益倍數、與該藍芽能力行動電話以及一行動網路之組合相關。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之可讀取媒體,其中假如執行該等指令會導致:接收一通訊其顯示在該遠距伺服器之接收功率增益是在一預定範圍之外;以及響應於所接收該通訊,以不同功率增益倍數發出複數個經調變傳輸,以辨識一新的傳輸功率增益倍數,而使用於該行動電話。
- 一種操作電子裝置的方法,其包括以下步驟:與一遠距伺服器通訊,該通訊通過在一導航裝置與一行動電話間之一藍芽連接、以及該行動電話無線電信網路之一無線語音頻道;發出複數個經調整傳輸至該遠距伺服器,其中使用頻 率音調以調變該等經調整傳輸,該等頻率音調是由在該無線電信網路中操作之語音編碼器選擇,而無障礙地通過該無線語音頻道,以及其中該等經調整傳輸是使用不同傳輸功率增益倍數而傳送;接收一回傳響應以顯示在該遠距伺服器之接收功率增益倍數,且將各該接收功率增益倍數與各該等經調整傳輸相關;以及藉由分析所接收該功率增益倍數,以決定經調整傳輸功率增益倍數,且當使用該行動電話將資料上傳至該遠距伺服器時,使用該經調整傳輸功率增益倍數。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項之方法,更包括:辨識一目前可供使用行動電話,以響應對該遠距伺服器所傳輸之一請求;將用於目前可供使用該行動電話之一獨特辨識符與一表比較,該表將該行動電話與該經調整傳輸功率增益倍數相關;根據該比較以設定在該導航裝置上之一藍芽接收發射器;以及在設定該藍芽接收發射器後,經由該目前可供使用行動電話,將資料上傳至該遠距伺服器。
- 如申請專利範圍第8項之方法,其中該請求是在該導航裝置之一使用者介面上接收。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項之方法,更包括:從該遠距伺服器接收一會議啟始請求; 在一確認訊息中設定一位元,以造成該會議啟始延遲;以及發出具有該設定位元之該確認。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項之方法,其中在發出該確認之時或之後、以及在經延遲會議啟始之前,發出該經調整傳輸。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項之方法,更包括:當由該遠距伺服器請求、且根據最近調整改變傳輸設定時,發出其他複數個經調整傳輸。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項之方法,更包括:判斷該行動電話之一語音編碼器或一無線電信網路之該語音編碼器之一操作模式;在一導航裝置表中產生一項目,而將該經調整傳輸功率增益倍數與該行動電話相關;以及在所產生該項目中,記錄所判斷該操作模式,以致於該經調整傳輸功率增益倍數與所判斷該操作模式相關。
- 如申請專利範圍第13項之方法,更包括:在該導航裝置表中產生另一項目,其將該行動電話與一不同經調整傳輸功率增益倍數相關;以及在所產生該另一項目中,記錄一不同操作模式。
- 一種伺服器,其具有以指令編碼之可讀取媒體,其係由一處理器所讀取,而當執行該等指令時會導致:該伺服器與一遠距導航裝置通訊,該通訊經由:一延伸至該一行動電話之一無線語音頻道,以及在該行動電話 與一導航裝置間延伸之一藍芽連接;判斷來自該導航裝置之複數個所接收音訊信號之功率增益倍數;傳輸該通訊,其辨識所接收該功率增益倍數,且將各該接收功率增益倍數與來自該導航裝置之該傳輸相關;以及接收來自該導航裝置之一上傳,其中調整所接收該上傳之該接收功率增益倍數,而用於在該伺服器上之頻帶內信號傳輸(IBS)解調變。
- 如申請專利範圍第15項之伺服器,其中假如執行指令會導致:辨識一新接收傳輸,其所具有接收功率增益倍數是在所接收功率增益之一臨界範圍之外;以及響應於該辨識,造成該導航裝置以一不同功率增益倍數傳送複數個音訊信號。
- 如申請專利範圍第15項之伺服器,其中假如執行指令會導致:請求與該導航裝置之一會議;分析來自該導航裝置之一確認,用於一位元設定,以請求延遲會議啟始;以及延遲該會議啟始一預定時間期間,而與該功率增益倍數判斷有關。
