Abstract
1. Способ лечения боли, вызванной остеоартритом, у индивида, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста фактора роста нервов (NGF). ! 2. Способ улучшения физической функции у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста NGF. ! 3. Способ улучшения ригидности у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста NGF. ! 4. Способ по любому из пп.1, 2 или 3, где индивид представляет собой человека. ! 5. Способ по любому из пп.1, 2 или 3, где антагонист NGF представляет собой антагонистическое антитело против NGF. ! 6. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят с частотой введения в диапазоне от одного раза в неделю до одного раза в двенадцать недель. ! 7. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят один раз в месяц, один раз в два месяца, один раз в три месяца, один раз в четыре месяца, один раз в пять месяцев или один раз в шесть месяцев. ! 8. Способ по п.5, где боль облегчают на период по меньшей мере приблизительно семь суток, по меньшей мере приблизительно четырнадцать суток, по меньшей мере приблизительно четыре недели или по меньшей мере приблизительно двенадцать недель после введения разовой дозы антагонистического антитела против NGF. ! 9. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят в дозе в диапазоне от приблизительно 3 мкг/кг до приблизительно 1 мг/кг. ! 10. Способ по п.9, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят в дозе приблизительно 100 мкг/кг или приблизительно 300 мкг/кг. ! 11. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF ввод
Claims (32)
1. Способ лечения боли, вызванной остеоартритом, у индивида, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста фактора роста нервов (NGF).
2. Способ улучшения физической функции у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста NGF.
3. Способ улучшения ригидности у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит, включающий введение указанному индивиду эффективного количества антагониста NGF.
4. Способ по любому из пп.1, 2 или 3, где индивид представляет собой человека.
5. Способ по любому из пп.1, 2 или 3, где антагонист NGF представляет собой антагонистическое антитело против NGF.
6. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят с частотой введения в диапазоне от одного раза в неделю до одного раза в двенадцать недель.
7. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят один раз в месяц, один раз в два месяца, один раз в три месяца, один раз в четыре месяца, один раз в пять месяцев или один раз в шесть месяцев.
8. Способ по п.5, где боль облегчают на период по меньшей мере приблизительно семь суток, по меньшей мере приблизительно четырнадцать суток, по меньшей мере приблизительно четыре недели или по меньшей мере приблизительно двенадцать недель после введения разовой дозы антагонистического антитела против NGF.

12. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF представляет собой моноклональное антитело.
13. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF представляет собой гуманизированное антитело.
14. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF связывается с человеческим NGF.
15. Способ по п.14, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF дополнительно связывается с NGF грызуна.
16. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF:
(а) связывается с NGF при KD менее чем приблизительно 2 нМ;
(б) ингибирует зависимое от человеческого NGF выживание мышиных нейронов тройничного нерва Е13,5 при значении IC50 приблизительно 100 пМ или менее, где IC50 измеряют в присутствии приблизительно 15 пМ человеческого NGF; и
(в) ингибирует зависимое от человеческого NGF выживание мышиных нейронов тройничного нерва Е13,5 при значении IC50 приблизительно 10 пМ или менее, где IC50 измеряют в присутствии приблизительно 1,5 пМ NGF.
17. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF содержит вариабельную область тяжелой цепи, содержащую:
область CDR1 (гипервариабельную область), показанную в SEQ ID NO:3;
область CDR2, показанную в SEQ ID NO:4;
и область CDR3, показанную в SEQ ID NO:5.
18. Способ по п.5, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF содержит вариабельную область легкой цепи, содержащую:
область CDR1, показанную в SEQ ID NO:6;
область CDR2, показанную в SEQ ID NO:7; и
область CDR3, показанную в SEQ ID NO:8.
19. Способ по п.18, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF дополнительно содержит вариабельную область тяжелой цепи, содержащую:
область CDR1, показанную в SEQ ID NO:3;
область CDR2, показанную в SEQ ID NO:4; и
область CDR3, показанную в SEQ ID NO:5.
20. Способ по п.19, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF представляет собой антитело, содержащее аминокислотные последовательности, показанные в SEQ ID NOS:1 и 2.
21. Способ по п.20, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF представляет собой антитело, содержащее аминокислотные последовательности, показанные в SEQ ID NOS:16 и 17.
22. Набор, содержащий эффективное количество антагониста NGF и инструкции по введению эффективного количества антагониста NGF индивиду для лечения боли, вызванной остеоартритом, у данного индивида.
23. Набор, содержащий эффективное количество антагониста NGF и инструкции по введению эффективного количества антагониста NGF индивиду, имеющему остеоартрит, для улучшения физической функции у данного индивида.
24. Набор, содержащий эффективное количество антагониста NGF и инструкции по введению эффективного количества антагониста NGF индивиду, имеющему остеоартрит, для улучшения ригидности у данного индивида.
25. Набор по любому из пп.22, 23 или 24, где индивид представляет собой человека.
26. Набор по любому из пп.22, 23 или 24, где антагонист NGF представляет собой антагонистическое антитело против NGF.
27. Набор по п.26, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят с частотой введения в диапазоне от одного раза в неделю до одного раза в двенадцать недель.
28. Набор по п.26, где боль облегчают на период по меньшей мере приблизительно семь суток после введения разовой дозы антагонистического антитела против NGF.
29. Набор по п.26, где антагонистическое антитело против NGF вводят в дозе в диапазоне от приблизительно 3 мкг/кг до приблизительно 1 мг/кг.
30. Фармацевтическая композиция, содержащая антагонист NGF и фармацевтически приемлемый носитель, для лечения у индивида боли, вызванной остеоартритом.
31. Фармацевтическая композиция, содержащая антагонист NGF и фармацевтически приемлемый носитель, для улучшения физической функции у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит.
32. Фармацевтическая композиция, содержащая антагонист NGF и фармацевтически приемлемый носитель, для улучшения ригидности у индивида, имеющего остеоартрит.
