Inventia se refera la un procedeu de preparare a fluorurii de izobutiril prin reactia oxidului de carbon cu acid fluorhidric anhidru si propilena, constînd în aceea ca într-un recipient de amestecare se formeaza un amestec lichid de monoxid de carbon în acid fluorhidric, care se supune apoi reactiei cu propilena într-un reactor la 40...60 degree C si la presiune de 35...340 bar, la un raport molar de monoxid de carbon: propilena de 1,1...5, raportul molar acid fluorhidric:propilena fiind de 10:20, iartimpul de reactie este de 0,2...310 min.
