Abstract

Etylenoksyd-katalysator som omfatter sølv og en eller flere alkalimetall-pro- motorer på en bærer med en trykkfasthet på minst 2,3 kg og en fastpakkingsdensi- tet på minst 0,48 kg/liter, og som omfat- ter en første og en andre alfa-aluminium- oksyd-komponent, hvor den første alfa- aluminiumoksyd-komponent kommer i form av partikler med en median-krystallittstør- relse på fra 0,4 til 4 ;im, utgjør fra 95 til 40% av den totale vekt av alfa-alumi- niumoksydet i bæreren, og den andre alfa- aluminiumoksyd-komponent, som er dannet in situ ved hjelp av en sol-gel-prosess, utgjør resten av alfa-aluminiumoksydet i bæreren. Titanoksyd tilsettes eventuelt til bæreren.
