Claims (15)
- (a)担体及び担体上の銀、レニウム促進剤及び一以上の共促進剤を含む高選択性エポキシ化触媒を含む触媒床を、反応器出口ガスまたは再生利用ガスループの中で検出される塩化ビニルの量が少なくとも1×10 −5 モル%(全ガス混合物に対する塩化ビニルのモルとして算出)に増加するまで、全供給材料に対して20〜40モル%のエチレン、全供給材料に対して2.5〜15モル%の酸素、全供給材料に対して4モル%以下の二酸化炭素および触媒1キログラム当たり塩化物1〜12ミリモル(mmol)当量の塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物を含む供給材料と、1〜15時間、200〜250℃の温度及び500〜4000kPaの絶対圧下で接触させること、
(b)次いで、供給材料中の塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量を最適な選択性でエチレンオキシドを生成するのに十分な値に調節すること
を含む、エチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。 - 供給材料中の塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量を調節する前に、反応器出口ガスまたは再生利用ガスループの中で検出される塩化ビニルの量が少なくとも2×10 −5 モル%に増加する、請求項1に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 反応器出口ガスまたは再生利用ガスループの中で検出される塩化ビニルの量が、1×10−4モル%以下(全ガス混合物に対する塩化ビニルのモルとして算出)である、請求項1または2に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 反応器出口ガスまたは再生利用ガスループの中で検出される塩化ビニルの量が、7.5×10−5モル%以下(全ガス混合物に対する塩化ビニルのモルとして算出)である、請求項1または2に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 反応器出口ガスまたは再生利用ガスループの中で検出される塩化ビニルの量が、5×10−5モル%以下(全ガス混合物に対する塩化ビニルのモルとして算出)である、請求項1または2に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 触媒と接触させる塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量が、6mmol当量/kg触媒以下であることができる、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 触媒と接触させる塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量が、5.5mmol当量/kg触媒以下であることができる、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 触媒と接触させる塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量が、5mmol当量/kg触媒以下であることができる、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 初期始動段階の間における供給材料中の塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量が、全供給材料に対する塩化物のモルとして算出して、少なくとも2×10−4モル%であることができる、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 初期始動段階の間における塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物の量が、全供給材料に対する塩化物のモルとして算出して、0.1モル%以下であることができる、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。

- 塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物が2〜10時間の間ステップ(a)において触媒床に供給される、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- 塩化ビニル以外の有機塩化物が2.5〜8時間の間ステップ(a)において触媒床に供給される、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
- (a)エチレンのエポキシ化工程によってエチレンオキシドを得ること、
(b)該エチレンオキシドを1,2−ジオール、1,2−ジオールエーテル、1,2−カーボネートまたはアルカノールアミンに転換すること
を更に含む、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載のエチレンのエポキシ化工程の始動方法。
