米国特許第4,766,105号明細書に記載されているα−アルミナ上に銀、レニウム及びセシウムを含む触媒を下記例において使用した。
Claims (11)
- エチレンのエポキシ化によるエチレンオキシドの製造方法であって、
前記エポキシ化を始動するステップ
を含み、前記始動するステップが、
触媒が、銀に加えて、IA族金属及びレニウム、モリブデン及びタングステンから選択される1つ以上の選択率向上ドーパントを含む銀を主成分とするエポキシ化触媒またはカチオン形態の銀を含む前記触媒の前駆体を含む充填触媒床と、酸素を含む供給材料を、265〜300℃の触媒床温度で1〜150時間接触させることと、
その後前記触媒床の温度を260℃以下の値に低下させることとを含む
ことを特徴とする、エチレンオキシドの製造方法。 - 前記触媒が、銀に加えて、レニウムまたはその化合物;IA族金属、IIA族金属、モリブデン、タングステン、クロム、チタン、ハフニウム、ジルコニウム、バナジウム、タリウム、トリウム、タンタル、ニオブ、ガリウム、ゲルマニウム及びその混合物からなる群から選択される別の金属またはその化合物;及び場合により1つ以上の硫黄、リン、ホウ素及びその化合物から選択され得るレニウム共促進剤を担体材料上に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床温度が265〜280℃である請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床温度を265℃以上に1〜30時間維持する請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記触媒床温度を265℃以上に2〜20時間維持する請求項4に記載の方法。
- 265℃以上の温度で前記触媒と接触させる前記供給材料が、エチレンを5〜70モル%、飽和炭化水素を存在させる場合には0〜70モル%、酸素を0.5〜15モル%含む請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記供給材料が更に有機ハライドを全供給材料に対してハロゲン含量に基づいて計算して1×10−4〜30×10−4モル%の濃度で含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 供給材料に対して酸素と有機ハライドを同時に添加する請求項7に記載の方法。
- エチレンのエポキシ化によるエチレンオキシドの製造方法であって、
前記エポキシ化を始動するステップ
を含み、前記始動するステップが、
触媒が、銀に加えて、IA族金属及びレニウム、モリブデン及びタングステンから選択される1つ以上の選択率向上ドーパントを含む銀を主成分とするエポキシ化触媒またはカチオン形態の銀を含む前記触媒の前駆体を含む充填触媒床と、酸素を含む供給材料を、265〜300℃の触媒床温度で1〜150時間接触させることと、
その後前記触媒床の温度を260℃以下の値に低下させ、前記触媒とエチレン及び酸素を含む供給材料を接触させることと
を含む
ことを特徴とする、エチレンオキシドの製造方法。 - エチレン及び酸素を含む前記供給材料が更に有機クロリド及び場合により硝酸塩または亜硝酸塩形成化合物を含む請求項9に記載の方法。
- 請求項9または10に記載の方法によりエチレンをエポキシ化して得たオレフィンオキシドを、1,2−ジオール、1,2−ジオールエーテルまたはアルカノールアミンに変換させることを含む1,2−ジオール、1,2−ジオールエーテルまたはアルカノールアミンの製造方法。
