Abstract

Fremgangsmåter og apparater for oppsetting av et pilotsymbol for en kommunikasjonsramme som overføres i et system for trådløs kommunikasjon, så som et OFDM-system, særskilt utarbeidet for å generere minst én sekvens med tilnærmet tilfeldig støy (PN-sekvens) med minst én forhåndsbestemt lengde og der hver slik sekvens representerer et trådløst systems konfigurasjon. En tidsplansymbolsekvens moduleres med sekvensen for etablering av et tidsinnhentingspilotsymbol som videre maskeres til en forhåndsangitt frekvensprofil og legges i en ramme for trådløs overføring. På denne måte kan de forskjellige systemkonfigurasjoner kommuniseres fra en sender til en mottaker, med innhentingspilotsymbolet modulert med tilsvarende forskjellige PN-sekvenser. Dette gir mindre kompleksitet ved behandlingen av pilotsymbolene og lavere forhold mellom spisseffekt og midlere effekt når QPSK-modulasjon brukes
